Brolin, it seems, will be bringing his recent, MIB III-showcased expertise at playing characters in their younger days for the film, as he’s signed on to take over Dwight from Clive Owen. Dwight’s story in Dame is a prequel tale that sees him hunted down by Ava Lord, the only woman he ever loved. His life goes into the gutter and he ends up with a completely different face later in life (hence the actor swap). “Dwight is a constant character throughout the Sin City world and A Dame To Kill For is a defining episode in his life,” Rodriguez and Miller said in a statement picked up by Collider. “We’re looking forward to Josh’s take on Dwight.”
Meloni, meanwhile, will be playing a tough-nosed cop, a role that will see him draw on years of policing experience from the Law & Order franchise and his darker sides acting on iconic HBO prison series Oz.11 So that makes the current roster as follows: Gordon-Levitt, Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Jamie King, Dennis Haysbert and Jamie Chung.
