BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Ryan Reynold's Green Lantern Suit To Be All CG No Spandex Ladies

Ryan Reynold's Green Lantern Suit To Be All CG No Spandex Ladies
/Films found out some interesting news about the upcoming Ryan Reynold's Green Lantern film. Peter claims he has word from three independent sources that Ryan Reynolds' suit in the upcoming Green Lantern film will be completely computer generated. The suit is apparently "a grey tracking motion/performance capture suit with LED lights," perhaps not too far from what Garrett Hedlund and Co. are wearing in Tron Legacy.

This came as a bit of surprise, but after a little more consideration about the project, the idea actually makes a lot of sense. In the film, the suit is worn by all races who wear the green rings, and Hal Jordan is the first human to wear the suit. Providing an other-worldly look to the suit should help it stand out from what has become the standard spandex model (see: Spider-Man, The Fantastic Four, etc.) in superhero films today.

Peter also reminds us that Ngila Dickson, the costume designer for The Lord of the Rings, The Last Samurai, and The Illusionist (among others) is in charge for Green Lantern, and I think her track record speaks for itself. I can't imagine why anyone would freak out about this news - does anybody really want just another typical superhero suit? - but if you are, I'd say to wait it out until we actually see a real image from the marketing department at Warner Bros. Remember, this isn't a 20th Century Fox film (*cough Daredevil cough*) we're dealing with here - this is the same studio that gave us Nolan's Batman films, so I'm willing to give them (and Legendary Pictures) the benefit of the doubt.

Here is some key information that Peter found out:

-That leaked set photo of the silver ship is indeed Abin Sur’s crashed spaceship

-Temura Morrison looks legit as Abin Sur, although his head isn’t as elongated as in the concept art photos leaked awhile back.

-Peter Sarsgaard’s makeup tests with the enlarged head look cool. He has wild hair, kind of like Jason Lee in “My Name is Earl” and, of course, the kind of traditional Hector Hammond stache.

-I’m told that Reynolds is awesome in the role. He’s knocking it out of the park so far.

-The screenplay that leaked online is a very old draft. I’ve been told that the villains have changed a bit and that the rewritten script is supposedly way better in the end.

Movie Review: #Vacation

Vacation makes me want to take a STAY-cation. Review by Matt Cummings It's not too often that a movie makes me wish film never existed, yet her I am ready to give the newest Vacation all the hate it deserves. And hate on it I will. Grown-up Rusty (Ed Helms) is stuck in a dull marriage to Debbie (Christina Applegate), who's been forced year after year to spend vacation with her family at a cabin in Michigan. When the overly optimistic Rusty realizes his family needs a change, he packs them up for a trip to Walley World, the site of his greatest trip as a teen. But soon, his family begins to encounter difficulties and flat-out disasters that could end their road trip and return Rusty's marriage back to square one. It might surprise our readers to know that someone from our team actually considered walking out of Vacation , and we get to see these films for free. That's how bad our experience became as we sat mesmerized by its 99 minutes of ineptit...

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim...
