UNHINGED Starring Russell Crowe Opens in Theaters August 21

Solstice Studios’ UNHINGED, starring Academy Award winner Russell Crowe, will be releasing nationally on Friday, August 21 across the United States, and movie theaters in Cincinnati will be open to debut the film. UNHINGED marks the first new studio film to open with a wide release since the COVID-19 shutdown nearly five months ago, and we are confident that the edge-of-your-seat thriller will remind you what you’ve missed about seeing movies on the big screen.

Our exhibition partners around the nation have gone to extensive lengths to ensure that the return to moviegoing is a safe entertainment experience; employing advanced sterilization and filtration methods, social distanced seating, no touch payment systems, and many other measures to prioritize safety over all else. Without their thorough commitment to safety, we would not be proceeding with this release.

Advance tickets for the release of UNHINGED go on sale this Friday, August 14, and we hope you are as excited as we are about bringing the beloved pastime of going to the movies back into America’s lives. The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children.
