BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Honey Boy Starring Shia LaBeouf In Theaters November 8th

Amazon Studios will release Alma Har’el’s critically acclaimed Honey Boy in select theaters on November 8, 2019 and will expand in the following weeks. Shia LaBeouf wrote and stars alongside A Quiet Place’s Noah Jupe and Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee Lucas Hedges. Har’el received the U.S. Dramatic Special Jury Award for Vision and Craft at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.

From a screenplay by LaBeouf, based on his own experiences, award-winning filmmaker Alma Har'el brings to life a young actor's stormy childhood and early adult years as he struggles to reconcile with his father through cinema and dreams. Fictionalizing his childhood’s ascent to stardom, and subsequent adult crash-landing into rehab and recovery, Har'el casts Noah Jupe and Lucas Hedges as Otis Lort, navigating different stages in a frenetic career. LaBeouf takes on the daring and therapeutic challenge of playing a version of his own father, an ex-rodeo clown and a felon. Artist and musician FKA twigs makes her feature-film debut, playing neighbor and kindred spirit to the younger Otis in their garden-court motel home. Har'el's feature narrative debut is a one-of-a-kind collaboration between filmmaker and subject, exploring art as therapy and imagination as hope.

The film is produced by Har’el, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Daniela Taplin Lundberg, Anita Gou and Christopher Leggett. Executive Producers are Fred Berger, Rafael Marmor, Daniel Crown and Bill Benenson. Honey Boy is produced by Automatik and Delirio, in association with Stay Gold Features, Kindred Spirit and Red Crown Productions.

Amazon Studios will release Ritesh Batra’s Photograph on May 17, Nisha Ganatra’s Late Night nationwide in theaters on June 7, Nanfu Wang and Jialing Zhang’s One Child Nation on August 9, and Paul Downs Colaizzo’s Brittany Runs a Marathon on August 23. Additional titles this year include Scott Z. Burns’ The Report starring Adam Driver, Annette Bening and Jon Hamm, Tom Harper’s The Aeronauts starring Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones, Bert & Bertie’s Troop Zero starring Viola Davis, Allison Janney and Mckenna Grace, and Benedict Andrews’ Against All Enemies starring Kristen Stewart, Jack O’Connell and Anthony Mackie.

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim
