Bill Nighy & Miranda Hart Join Anya Taylor-Joy In 'Emma'

Golden Globe and BAFTA® winner Bill Nighy (Page Eight, Their Finest), award-winning comedian and actress Miranda Hart (Miranda, Call the Midwife, Spy) and more join the cast of Working Title and Blueprint Pictures’ Emma. Joining the previously announced Anya Taylor-Joy in the titular role and Johnny Flynn as George Knightley, Nighy will take on the role of Emma’s father Mr. Woodhouse, with Hart as Miss Bates. Rounding out the cast are Mia Goth as Harriet Smith, Josh O’Connor as Mr. Elton, Callum Turner as Frank Churchill, Rupert Graves as Mr. Weston, Gemma Whelan as Mrs. Weston, Amber Anderson as Jane Fairfax, and Tanya Reynolds as Mrs. Elton. Autumn de Wilde will direct this new adaptation of Jane Austen’s classic novel, written for the screen by Eleanor Catton with Working Title’s Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner and Blueprint Pictures’ Graham Broadbent and Pete Czernin producing.

Principal production began this week in England and will run through the spring. Focus Features and Universal Pictures International will distribute the film worldwide.

Current and upcoming domestic releases from Focus include Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman; Won’t You Be My Neighbor?; Neil Jordan’s thriller Greta starring Isabelle Huppert and Chloë Grace Moretz; Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre’s directorial debut The Mustang; Jim Jarmusch’s zombie comedy The Dead Don’t Die with Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Chloë Sevigny, Tilda Swinton, Steve Buscemi, and Selena Gomez; Harriet about the iconic freedom fighter Harriet Tubman starring Cynthia Erivo and Leslie Odom Jr. and directed by Kasi Lemmons; and the anticipated Downtown Abbey movie starring the entire original cast. Universal Pictures International has led distribution in select markets for titles including BlacKkKlansman; The Dead Don’t Die; Harriet; Downtown Abbey; Won’t You Be My Neighbor?; Greta; Everybody Knows (Todos Lo Saben); and The Mustang.

Vacation makes me want to take a STAY-cation. Review by Matt Cummings It's not too often that a movie makes me wish film never existed, yet her I am ready to give the newest Vacation all the hate it deserves. And hate on it I will. Grown-up Rusty (Ed Helms) is stuck in a dull marriage to Debbie (Christina Applegate), who's been forced year after year to spend vacation with her family at a cabin in Michigan. When the overly optimistic Rusty realizes his family needs a change, he packs them up for a trip to Walley World, the site of his greatest trip as a teen. But soon, his family begins to encounter difficulties and flat-out disasters that could end their road trip and return Rusty's marriage back to square one. It might surprise our readers to know that someone from our team actually considered walking out of Vacation , and we get to see these films for free. The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity.
