FILM OPENS MARCH 25th IN NYC, APRIL 1st IN LA, AND EXPANDS NATIONALLY ON APRIL 8th

NEW YORK, NY (March 17, 2016) – GKIDS, the eight-time Academy Award®-nominated distributor of animation for both adult and family audiences, announced the English voice cast for APRIL AND THE EXTRAORDINARY WORLD, the highly anticipated latest feature from filmmakers Christian Desmares & Franck Ekinci. The English voice cast includes Paul Giamatti, Tony Hale, Susan Sarandon and J.K. Simmons. The original French language voice cast includes Marion Cotillard as “April”. A full breakdown of the English and French language casts can be found below. Both the English and French versions will play stateside when the film opens in New York on March 25th at IFC Center, and in Los Angeles at the Nuart Theater on April 1st. National expansion follows on April 8th.

APRIL AND THE EXTRAORDINARY WORLD, which won Best Feature Film at the prestigious 2015 Annecy International Animation Festival, is a riveting sci-fi adventure which takes place in an alternate steampunk world. Set in Paris in 1941, the film follows a family of scientists on the brink of discovering a powerful longevity serum. All of a sudden a mysterious force abducts them, leaving their young daughter April behind. Ten years later, April lives alone with her cat, Darwin, and carries on her family’s research in secret. But she soon finds herself at the center of a shadowy and far-reaching conspiracy, and on the run from government agents, bicycle-powered dirigibles and cyborg rat spies.

Vacation makes me want to take a STAY-cation. Review by Matt Cummings It's not too often that a movie makes me wish film never existed, yet her I am ready to give the newest Vacation all the hate it deserves. And hate on it I will. The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity.
