BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Clive Standen Cast As Bryan Mills In Taken

Deadline is reporting that Taken, NBC’s straight-to-series adaptation of the hit movie franchise, has cast its lead, tapping The Vikings co-star Clive Standen to play younger Bryan Mills, the character portrayed in the movies by Liam Neeson.

Written and executive produced by Alex Cary (Homeland), who serves as showrunner, the Taken TV series is a modern-day prequel to the film franchise that depicts how Bryan Mills (Standen) developed and sharpened his particular set of skills. EuropaCorp TV USA and Universal Television are producing.

British actor Standen has been playing one of the central characters, Rollo, on History’s hit drama The Vikings, which is currently airing its fourth season, with a Season 5 renewal expected soon. Standen is segueing to Taken after completing has obligations on the History drama, filming the two 10-episode parts of Season 4. I hear his character is not being killed off, so there is a possibility for him to appear in Season 5 as a guest star. He is repped by CAA, UK’s Independent Talent Group and Management 360.

Cary executive produces Taken alongside Luc Besson (who co-wrote and produced the three-movie franchise), and EuropaCorp’s Matthew Gross, Edouard de Vesinne and Thomas Anargyros. Alex Graves is directing and executive producing the pilot episode.

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim...
