BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Mallrats Sequel Titled #MallBrats

We learned back in March that Kevin Smith had decided to revisit the world of his secondView Askewniverse film, Mallrats, along with heading back for a third helping of the original, Clerks. Smith today confirmed via social media that he’s completed at least the first draft of the Mallrats sequel, and that it’s currently called MallBrats.

Mallrats was Smith’s much-maligned (though, according to its loyal fans, vastly underappreciated) Clerks follow-up that attempted to transplant the blend of slacker vibe, pop cultural commentary and sheer madness to a mall with a bigger budget, a bolstered cast (including one Ben Affleck) and colour.

Now the sequel is coming together and Smith has already been teasing that many of the original cast members have agreed to come back, including Jason Lee, Jeremy London, Ethan Suplee, Shannen Doherty, Michael Rooker, Renée Humphrey, Joey Lauren Adams, Sven-Ole Thorsen, Scott Mosier, Bryan Johnson, Walt Flanagan, Brian O’Halloran, Claire Forlani and Stan Lee, who cameoed as himself in an era before we all got used to seeing him every year in the Marvel movies. No word on Affleck yet, but given how his character ended up in the original, there’s every chance Shannon Hamilton is still in prison…

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim...
