BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

#Supergirl TV Show Coming To CBS

From Greg Berlanti, the show brings Superman's cousin to the small screen

Look, up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's another superhero coming to the small screen!

CBS has given a series commitment to a one-hour drama project for “Supergirl,” based on characters from DC Comics, an individual familiar with the project told TheWrap on Friday.

The drama, which will be written and executive produced by Greg Berlanti (“Green Lantern,” “Arrow,” “The Flash”) and Ali Adler (“Chuck,” “No Ordinary Family”), will follow the exploits of Kara Zor-El. Born on the planet Krypton, Kara Zor-El escaped amid its destruction years ago. Since arriving on Earth, she's been hiding the powers she shares with her famous cousin. (That would be Superman, for those not familiar with comic-book lore.) But now at age 24, she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be.

The character of Supergirl was previously portrayed by Helen Slater in the 1984 film “Supergirl,” which also starred Faye Dunaway and Peter O'Toole.

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim
