BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Are You Ready For A Married With Children Spinoff TV Show?

Nearly 20 years after Married … With Children ended its run, Bud Bundy could be returning to TV.

The series that rocketed leads Ed O'Neill, Katey Sagal, Christina Applegate and David Faustino to stardom could see some members of the dysfunctional Bundy clan back on the small screen with a TV spinoff in the works at Sony Pictures Television, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

As first reported by E!, the studio that produced the Fox series is taking out a pitch for a follow-up to Married … With Children based on Faustino's Bud Bundy. It's unclear which, if any, other castmembers would be involved in the potential spinoff. Fox re-aired the pilot in 2012 as part of the series' 25th anniversary.

Married … With Children was one of the first original series on Fox. The multicamera comedy ran for 11 seasons from 1987 to 1997 and was created by Michael G. Moye and Ron Leavitt. It was the longest-lasting live-action sitcom to air on Fox. It's also unclear who is writing and producing the follow-up.
The Married … With Children castmembers have all gone on to success. O'Neill currently stars on ABC's Emmy darling Modern Family. Applegate has a successful film career and starred on TV series Jesse, Samantha Who and Up All Night. She continues to be one of the most sought-after actresses every pilot season. Sagal currently is wrapping up the final season of FX's biker drama Sons of Anarchy and is a successful singer. Faustino recently reunited with his former TV dad on Modern Family. The cast also recently reunited during Sagal's Walk of Fame ceremony.

The Married … With Children spinoff comes as nostalgia continues to be a hot trend on both broadcast and cable. In addition to the sophomore season of ABC's 1980s-set comedy The Goldbergs, Warner Bros. Television also is shopping a Full House TV revival with its original stars said to be involved in some capacity, and Disney Channel successfully revived fellow TGIF comedy Boy Meets World with follow-up sequel Girl Meets World, which has already been renewed for a second season.

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim...
