AWESOME ASIAN BAD GUYS World Premiere At CAAMFest 2014

You may not recognize the names but if your a kid like me that grew up in the 80's and 90's you are sure to recognize these faces.

The web series, AWESOME ASIAN BAD GUYS will be making its world premiere at CAAMFest 2014. AWESOME ASIAN BAD GUYS brings together some of pop culture's favorite Asian villains from the '80s and '90s in a web series to celebrate their awesomeness. The series stars Dante Basco (HOOK), Tamlyn Tomita TOMITA (KARATE KID PART 2, TRUE BLOOD), and Yuji Okumoto (KARATE KID PART 2).  You can back AWESOME ASIAN BAD GUYS on Kickstarter

Nonetheless, CAAMFest takes place between March 13-23 is the largest Asian and Asian American festival featuring film, food and music. There are a couple of events in our film programming that would possibly appeal to you.

Bad guys are awesome. Especially Asian ones. When we were growing up in the 80s and 90s, we’d always see hard-hitting Asian bad guys in flicks like Die Hard, Bloodsport, and Karate Kid 2. These badasses were often cooler than the heroes they fought, but they’d usually have a 2-minute lifespan before they were mortally wounded or beaten to a pulp. It really sucked that you barely saw them on screen and rarely got to know them. That got us thinking... How cool would it be to expand upon this largely ignored slice of pop culture history by following a motley crew of Asian bad guys on their own action-packed adventures? Incredibly cool, right? So we raised $54,000 on Kickstarter and made it - AWESOME ASIAN BAD GUYS! Join us as we celebrate their badassery!

Patrick and Stephen are two filmmakers who form the National Film Society, an upstart new media production company and YouTube channel. While shooting one of their weekly YouTube vlogs, Tamlyn Tomita breaks in and implores them to assemble the Awesome Asian Bad Guys (AABGs), a crew of old Asian movie villains, to help her avenge her sister’s murder and take down the most notorious crime boss in all of LosAngeles, Aaron Takahashi. Patrick and Stephen agree to help Tamlyn and set off to round up these old washed up actors, and after scouring all parts of Los Angeles, they end up with the legendary Al
Leong, Yuji Okumoto, George Cheung and a 9-year-old girl / martial arts prodigy named Jet Li. They reluctantly accept actor Randall Park onto their squad as well. However, as soon as the AABGs start training, everything falls apart. Old rivalries and resentment amongst the old actors come to the surface, and the infighting forces Patrick and Stephen to break up altogether.

With the mission in jeopardy, Aaron and his right-hand man, Dante Basco, accidentally shoot and seriously injure Stephen’s wife. With his own sense of vengeance, Stephen rejoins Patrick and the rest of the team.

The AABGs decide to go after Aaron at his first annual “Asian America's Got Talent” talent show, but soon find out that his plan is to kill all the Asian American talent so that he can get all of the (limited number of) Asian American TV and movie roles to himself. The AABGs must figure out a way to stop Aaron before it’s too late.

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim
