BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Flash On His Way To The Small Screen

While the DC Universe is expanding in fits and starts on cinema screens with the recent announcement of the Batman/Superman film at Comic-Con, the other major superheroes from the canon are having a tougher time of it. It appears, however, that Barry Allen – one of the people who filled the Flash’s suit through the years – will be getting his chance on TV via Arrow.

Talking at the Television Critics Association press tour, network boss for the CW dropped word that the start of Allen's tale will be told on an episode of the show, which chronicles the adventures of Green Arrow.

"We're planning an origin story," Pedowitz said. "We'll see how it goes. Hopefully it'll go well. We do want to expand on the DC universe." Assuming it goes well, we could see a Flash TV show joining Arrow on screens, though that has yet to be decided.

A big factor might be Warner Bros.’ plans for the character in cinemas, especially in light of the slow crawl towards a Justice League film. The companies have traditionally shied away from having simultaneous TV series and movies featuring the same character, so that could end up derailing or possibly just delaying plans. And it’s not like Allen hasn’t been on TV before, though the previous live-action take ran for just one season in the early 1990s.

Still, Barry Allen is getting better treatment than Wonder Woman, with Pedowitz revealing on the same panel that a reboot series called Amazon is on hold because of script issues. Diana just can’t lasso a break…

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim...

Winona Ryder- An "Alienation" Expert?

Winona Ryder- An "Alienation" Expert? We're halfway checked out for the holiday weekend, so let's end with bit of comedy. A litigious videogame player is calling Winona Ryder to testify as an expert in "alienation." Erik Estavillo has filed a $1 million lawsuit in California Superior Court against Activision Blizzard, publisher of "World of Warcraft," saying it "maintain(s) a harmful virtual environment to many of its customers by forcing them to follow the game's sneaky and deceitful practices." The plaintiff says he suffers from several mental health problems brought on by WoW's "alienating" features, such as forcing beginners to walk or run to get from one point to another instead of speedier options available to those who master the game or buy an expansion pack. Estavillo says that the slow pace is "deceitful" because more time = more subscription revenue for Activision. Here's where Winona Ryder comes...
