Abbie Cornish To Find Solace

Abbie Cornish is re-teaming with her “Seven Pyschopaths” co-star Colin Farrell in the thriller “Solace,” also starring Anthony Hopkins.

Afonso Poyart will direct, with filming set to start in May.

Story follows an FBI agent who links up with a doctor with psychic abilities to hunt down a serial killer. It is unknown what role Cornish would play.

Beau Flynn, of Flynn Picture Co., Tripp Vinson and Thomas Augsberger will produce from a script by Sean Bailey, Ted Griffin, James Vanderbilt and Peter Morgan.

“Solace” has been in development limbo for some time (Bailey wrote the script before becoming president of production at Disney) but it now looks ready to rev up.

Cornish has gradually moved into leading-lady status, and her roles in MGM’s “Robocop” reboot and Ridley Scott’s Discovery Channel miniseries “Klondike” seems to sustain that argument.
