Seth MacFarlane Coming To Live Action TV

Fox is expanding its relationship with Seth MacFarlane.

Seth MacFarlane 'Thinking About' a 'Ted' Sequel Seth MacFarlane's 'Family Guy,' 'American Dad' Renewed Through 2013-14 Seth MacFarlane: The Restless Mind of a Complicated Cartoonist The network has given a put-pilot with series penalty commitment to a live-action comedy from MacFarlane and the writers behind summer box office hit Ted, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

From the Mind of Seth MacFarlane The untitled live-action effort will be written and executive produced by Ted co-writers Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild with MacFarlane -- who wrote, directed and starred in the Mark Wahlberg feature -- on board as an executive producer. From 20th Television, the untitled single-camera comedy revolves around two successful guys in their 30s and the insanity that ensues after their crazy fathers unexpectedly move in with them.

Sulkin and Wild have a long history with MacFarlane, having written and voiced characters on Family Guy and The Cleveland Show between them. Should the project go to series -- Fox would have to pay a hefty premium if it didn't -- the comedy would mark the Family Guy, Cleveland Show and American Dad creator's first live-action small-screen entry since 2007's The Winner. For MacFarlane, the project comes as his animated take on The Flinstones remains on hold at the network. The prolific writer, director, actor and musician also has a reboot of Carl Sagan's Cosmo set up at the network. The small-screen comedy effort comes as MacFarlane, who recently hosted Saturday Night Live's season premiere, said he's "thinking about" a sequel to Ted, which grossed more than $400 million at the worldwide box office.

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim...
