BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Wentworth Miller Could Star In Edgar Sawtelle

Tom Hanks, Gary Goetzman, Oprah Winfrey, and Kate Forte are producing Universal's adaptation of the David Wroblewski best-seller.

Wentworth Miller is picking up the keyboard again.

The actor, best known as the star of Fox's Prison Break, is in negotiations to tackle of adaptation of The Story of Edgar Sawtelle. The David Wroblewski novel is set up at Universal with Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman producing via their Playtone banner, and Oprah Winfrey and Kate Forte producing via Harpo Films.

Chosen as one of Winfrey’s book club selections in 2008, the Hamlet-like story centers on a mute boy who is the son of dog breeders. When his father mysteriously dies, circumstances force the teen to run away from home, three dogs in tow, into the woods where he plots a return to expose his uncle as the killer.

William Broyles Jr. (Apollo 13) wrote an initial draft.

Miller surprised many when he set up his spec Stoker at Fox Searchlight, where it quickly hopped on the fast track and got made with Mia Wasikowska, Nicole Kidman and Matthew Goode (that movie, too, deals with a father’s death, a teen, and a mysterious uncle).

And while Miller has continued acting - his latest gig is the Dark Castle Entertainment thriller Loft, now in post – he has kept one hand on the keyboard. He is penning the English-language remake of With a Friend Like Harry, being produced by Maven Pictures that has Kimberly Pierce attached.

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim...
