Did MADAGASCAR 3 cause RAMA to move it?


It’s kinda tough getting into this film when you’re feeling indifferent about the previous installments, but MADAGASCAR 3 has enough punch lines and jokes to make up for the weak story. And just like its predecessors, this too moves ridiculously fast, each scene comes and goes like a speeding bullet, MADAGASCAR franchise is made for those with either short attention span or ADHD condition..


Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Gloria the Hippo, and Melman the Giraffe are still fighting to get home to their beloved Big Apple and of course, King Julien, Maurice and the Penguins are all along for the comedic adventure. Their journey takes them through Europe where they find the perfect cover: a traveling circus, which they reinvent – Madagascar style.

The last time we saw Alex, Marty, gloria, and Melman, they were in Africa and the story was mostly about Alex reconnecting with his dad and his lion heritage. MADAGASCAR 3 doesn’t put heavy emphasis on just one character, it’s them coming together as a team, desperately wanting to return to New York. Don’t ask me how they got to Monte Carlo because their travel from Africa to Monte Carlo is one of this film’s strange mysteries, in fact it’s so strange, you wonder why they don’t just might as well swim their way to New York already?!


As in every sequel, MADAGASCAR 3 also introduces us to several new characters, in this case, it’s a circus gang led by a Siberian tiger with a certain performance trauma.
MADAGASCAR 3 is one of those movies where the friendship is created based on lies first before it’s eventually fixed and based on truth.

It seems like DreamWorks just wants to close the chapter on this franchise and what better way to bring them back to where it all started.


Once again, Alex, Marty, Gloria, and Melman get their share of mishaps, mayhem, comical bumbling chase scenes and this time the antagonist is an animal inspector with weird tracking skills, her name is officer DuBois, voiced by Frances McDormand, there’s nothing she wouldn’t do to make Alex The Lion her next head mount collection.



If there’s one word I’d use to describe MADAGASCAR 3, it’s the word mild. It’s mildly heartfelt, mildly funny but just enough for me to watch one time and that’s it. A second viewing would probably give me some kind of seizure.

GRADE: 3 out of 5

In reference to you saying a second viewing would cause seizure.... this is no joke, my six year old daughter was hospitalized after watching this movie she had two extremely bad seizures, she has never had seizures before! This movie is way to overwhelming with repetitive bright flashing lights shapes and colors, not 100% sure but we are thinking this movie is the cause of her seizures: ( great movie no doubt but horrible experience for my precious lil girl!

Vacation makes me want to take a STAY-cation. Review by Matt Cummings It's not too often that a movie makes me wish film never existed, yet her I am ready to give the newest Vacation all the hate it deserves. And hate on it I will. Grown-up Rusty (Ed Helms) is stuck in a dull marriage to Debbie (Christina Applegate), who's been forced year after year to spend vacation with her family at a cabin in Michigan.
