BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Justin Timberlake Will Star In Coen Brothers "Inside Llewyn Davis"

While Justin Timberlake has been getting steady acting work for years, his career really took off thanks to his praised performance in The Social Network. Now the Coen brothers think he’s right for their next project, and the writing/directing/producing duo have offered him one of the lead roles in Inside Llewyn Davis.

Set in the developing folk music scene of 1960s Greenwich Village in New York, the movie will follow the struggles of the title character (Oscar Isaac), a talented musician who inspires others yet can’t seem to make enough playing gigs.

Among those he mentors is fellow tunesmith Jim (Timberlake, if he accepts the role), who is trying to find his own voice. He’s married to Jean (Carey Mulligan, who is already aboard).

Isaac’s character is loosely based on Dave Van Ronk, a singer/songwriter who hung with the likes of Bob Dylan.

This could be a another big boost to Timberlake’s acting career, but of course he’ll have decide whether he can handle the musical element of it… What’s that? He’s also known for what? Oh, yeah… Never mind.

Joel and Ethan Coen are looking to get filming early next year in New York. Timberlake, meanwhile, will next be seen in Andrew Niccol’s In Time, which is out here on Tuesday November 1.

Winona Ryder- An "Alienation" Expert?

Winona Ryder- An "Alienation" Expert? We're halfway checked out for the holiday weekend, so let's end with bit of comedy. A litigious videogame player is calling Winona Ryder to testify as an expert in "alienation." Erik Estavillo has filed a $1 million lawsuit in California Superior Court against Activision Blizzard, publisher of "World of Warcraft," saying it "maintain(s) a harmful virtual environment to many of its customers by forcing them to follow the game's sneaky and deceitful practices." The plaintiff says he suffers from several mental health problems brought on by WoW's "alienating" features, such as forcing beginners to walk or run to get from one point to another instead of speedier options available to those who master the game or buy an expansion pack. Estavillo says that the slow pace is "deceitful" because more time = more subscription revenue for Activision. Here's where Winona Ryder comes...

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim...
