The Big Year is an upcoming comedy film starring Owen Wilson, Steve Martin, Jack Black, Jim Parsons, Rashida Jones, Anjelica Huston, Dianne Wiest, JoBeth Williams, Brian Dennehy, Rosamund Pike and Tim Blake Nelson. The Big Year is directed by David Frankel and written by Howard Franklin. The film is based on the book The Big Year: A Tale of Man, Nature and Fowl Obsession which was written by Mark Obmascik.



Steve Martin, Jack Black and Owen Wilson are at a crossroads -- one is experiencing a late-life crisis, the second a no-life crisis, and the third, a far from ordinary mid-life crisis. David Frankel, the director of The Devil Wears Prada and Marley & Me, helms this sophisticated comedy about three friendly rivals who, tired of being ruled by responsibilities, dedicate a year of their lives to following their dreams. Their big year takes them on a cross-country journey of wild and life-changing adventures.
