Lily Collins Is Front Runner For Female Lead In "Odd Thomas"

Lily Collins has emerged as the front-runner to play Stormy Llewellyn, the girlfriend of the title character in "Odd Thomas," an adaptation of the Dean Koontz bestseller.


Collins ("The Blind Side") was competing with a shortlist of thesps that included Emma Roberts, Kat Dennings, Portia Doubleday and Addison Timlin.

Collins is the daughter of British musician Phil Collins and his second wife, American-born Jill Tavelman, and the half-sister of actress Joely Collins and musician Simon Collins

I will try to get a confirmation if she has taken this role or not when I attend the press junket for her upcoming film Priest  next Saturday at Wonder Con.

The film will be having a panel on Saturday at Wonder Con.

Heres the information on the panel:

3:00-4:00 Screen Gems: Priest— A post-apocalyptic action thriller, set in an alternate world, one ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires. The story revolves around a legendary Warrior Priest (Paul Bettany) from the last Vampire War who now lives in obscurity among the other downtrodden human inhabitants in walled-in dystopian cities. When his niece (Lily Collins) is abducted by a murderous pack of vampires, Priest breaks his sacred vows to venture out on an obsessive quest to find her before they turn her into one of them. He is joined on his crusade by his niece's boyfriend (Cam Gigandet), a trigger-fingered young wasteland sheriff, and a former Warrior Priestess (Maggie Q) who possesses otherworldly fighting skills. Confirmed to appear are stars Paul Bettany and Lily Collins, and director Scott Stewart. Esplanade Ballroom

Anton Yelchin is attached to star in the supernatural thriller, which Stephen Sommers is directing from his own script that's based on Koontz's novel. John Baldecchi and Howard Kaplan are producing through their Fusion Films banner, while Sommers will also produce for the Sommers Co.

Set in a California desert town, story follows Thomas, a short-order cook with clairvoyant abilities who encounters a mysterious man with a link to dark, threatening forces.

Collins made her feature debut as Sandra Bullock's daughter in "The Blind Side." She next stars in Screen Gems' "Priest," and Lionsgate's Taylor Lautner thriller "Abduction."

Movie Review: #Vacation

Vacation makes me want to take a STAY-cation. Review by Matt Cummings It's not too often that a movie makes me wish film never existed, yet her I am ready to give the newest Vacation all the hate it deserves. And hate on it I will. Grown-up Rusty (Ed Helms) is stuck in a dull marriage to Debbie (Christina Applegate), who's been forced year after year to spend vacation with her family at a cabin in Michigan. When the overly optimistic Rusty realizes his family needs a change, he packs them up for a trip to Walley World, the site of his greatest trip as a teen. But soon, his family begins to encounter difficulties and flat-out disasters that could end their road trip and return Rusty's marriage back to square one. It might surprise our readers to know that someone from our team actually considered walking out of Vacation , and we get to see these films for free.
