Sony Pictures Home Entertainment's New film ANIMAL KINGDOM, will be available on DVD and Blu-ray on January 18, 2011.

Animal Kingdom is a Australian drama written and directed by David Michôd, and stars Ben Mendelsohn, Joel Edgerton, Guy Pearce, Luke Ford, Sullivan Stapleton, Jacki Weaver and James Frecheville.


The film received several other film awards to Jacki Weaver and now has been nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress – Motion Picture for the 68th Golden Globe Awards


Quentin Tarantino listed Animal Kingdom as his 3rd favorite film of 2010, behind Toy Story 3 and The Social Network.

SYNOPSIS:
Evil is relative in this chilling tale of betrayal and blood starring Guy Pearce, Ben Mendelsohn and Joel Edgerton. When his mother dies from a overdose, 17-year-old Josh Cody (James Frecheville) is taken in by his grandmother (Jacki Weaver) and uncles, the most notorious criminal gang in the city. So when tensions between the Codys and a squad of renegade cops land him at the center of a cold-blooded murder plot, Josh is forced to choose between his treacherous family and the lawless police in this shattering thriller.

Winona Ryder- An "Alienation" Expert? We're halfway checked out for the holiday weekend, so let's end with bit of comedy. A litigious videogame player is calling Winona Ryder to testify as an expert in "alienation." Erik Estavillo has filed a $1 million lawsuit in California Superior Court against Activision Blizzard, publisher of "World of Warcraft," saying it "maintain(s) a harmful virtual environment to many of its customers by forcing them to follow the game's sneaky and deceitful practices." The plaintiff says he suffers from several mental health problems brought on by WoW's "alienating" features, such as forcing beginners to walk or run to get from one point to another instead of speedier options available to those who master the game or buy an expansion pack.
