Matt Damon To Join "Ben's Zoo?"

Matt Damon To Join "Ben's Zoo?"

Matt Damon is in preliminary talks to star in 20th Century Fox's "We Bought a Zoo," Cameron Crowe's next directing project.

In 2007, it was the subject of a four part television documentary, entitled Ben's Zoo, which followed owner Ben Mee and other staff as they revamped the park for the 21st century. It was shown on BBC Two in November and December of that year. Benjamin Mee, a former DIY columnist for The Guardian, also wrote a book about his experience refurbishing and living at the zoo, We Bought a Zoo: The Amazing True Story of a Young Family, a Broken Down Zoo, and the 200 Wild Animals That Changed Their Lives Forever.

Although "Ben's Zoo" was not followed by a second series, it was aired in several overseas locations and on Nat Geo Wild throughout May 2010. In 2009, 20th Century Fox purchased the film rights to Mee's book. The project is currently (April 2010) in development with director Cameron Crowe said to be working on a rewrite of the original adaptation written by Aline Brosh McKenna, well known for her adaptation of "The Devil Wears Prada."

Studio finalized Crowe's deal in May, dating the pic for Dec. 23, 2011.

Based on Benjamin Mee's memoir, "Zoo" revolves around a widowed father who buys a dilapidated zoo in hopes of making a fresh start. He and his children, along with a small but loyal staff, work to get the zoo reopened. Julie Yorn is producing.

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim...

Winona Ryder- An "Alienation" Expert?

Winona Ryder- An "Alienation" Expert? We're halfway checked out for the holiday weekend, so let's end with bit of comedy. A litigious videogame player is calling Winona Ryder to testify as an expert in "alienation." Erik Estavillo has filed a $1 million lawsuit in California Superior Court against Activision Blizzard, publisher of "World of Warcraft," saying it "maintain(s) a harmful virtual environment to many of its customers by forcing them to follow the game's sneaky and deceitful practices." The plaintiff says he suffers from several mental health problems brought on by WoW's "alienating" features, such as forcing beginners to walk or run to get from one point to another instead of speedier options available to those who master the game or buy an expansion pack. Estavillo says that the slow pace is "deceitful" because more time = more subscription revenue for Activision. Here's where Winona Ryder comes...
