Another Monster Squad Movie On The Way?

Looks like they are going to remake every movie we loved as a kid, watching this movie over and over again as a little kid. But it looks like this is not going to be a remake but an entire new film.

Mike Mitchell will direct "Monster Squad," formerly known as "Nightcrawlers," Warner Bros.' long-gestating supernatural action comedy.

The studio picked up "Nightcrawlers" as a spec by Brian Lynch in 2000. The project went through numerous writers, including Michael Arndt and Audrey Wells, as Warners sought to find a balance of laughs and chills.

The project's title was changed to "Monster Squad," though it is not a remake of the 1987 Warners movie written by Shane Black.

The studio is keeping mum on the new "Squad" log line, which has changed considerably in the last decade. It remains, however, a high-concept, big-budget, supernatural fantasy.

Brad Copeland wrote the current script.

Warners is aiming for a shoot in late summer 2010.

Movie Review: #Vacation

Vacation makes me want to take a STAY-cation. Review by Matt Cummings It's not too often that a movie makes me wish film never existed, yet her I am ready to give the newest Vacation all the hate it deserves. And hate on it I will. Grown-up Rusty (Ed Helms) is stuck in a dull marriage to Debbie (Christina Applegate), who's been forced year after year to spend vacation with her family at a cabin in Michigan. When the overly optimistic Rusty realizes his family needs a change, he packs them up for a trip to Walley World, the site of his greatest trip as a teen. But soon, his family begins to encounter difficulties and flat-out disasters that could end their road trip and return Rusty's marriage back to square one. It might surprise our readers to know that someone from our team actually considered walking out of Vacation , and we get to see these films for free.
