A Nightmare On Elm Street Teaser Trailer I had the pleasure of meeting Jackie Earle Haley at Comic Con his year, and What a great guy to talk to . I let him know how excited I was for him to have this role, and what a great choice he was for the role of Freddy in the remake of the movie. After watching the trailer when you get a shot of Freddy's face it reminds me of The character from Hannibal -( Mason Verger ) Just love it when the little kids sing the Theme song for the movie, always gives me chills. I have read all the rumors and want to make sure that you have the facts. We are doing a couple of days of reshooting Elm Street. People seem to be making a big deal about that fact. Elm Street is our 8th film and we've had reshoots for every film. As I have stated here many times, I try to read everything and I pay attention. The fans input has always been so valuable to me, and Elm Street is no exception. I don't want to get specific about what we are shooting, but suffice to say we heard you. After you've seen the film we can discuss what was reshot. I will say this though- nothing beats seeing Jackie back as Freddy- he works so hard to perfect his portrayal and leaves nothing to chance. This is the contemporary Hollywood axiom that is about to bring Freddy Krueger back into the world. New Line Cinema is working on a second reboot of A Nightmare on Elm Street , after the previous 2010 reboot swung and missed. Orphan writer David Leslie Johnson will pen the script, and Toby Emmerich, Walter Hamada, and Dave Neustadter will oversee the production. No other details have been made available. The one positive is that Platinum Dunes, Michael Bay's paint-by-numbers production shingle who handled the 2010 remake, will have no involvement in this second attempt. Still, if New Line really wants to get anyone ready for Freddy, they'd do well to get original star Robert Englund back in the hat.
