BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

First Look At James McAvoy From X-Men: Days Of Future Past

When he’s not napping in his trailer or, you know, directing the movie, Bryan Singer has been the source of a regular flow of pictures from behind the scenes of X-Men: Days Of Future Past. Today’s brings a retro-tastic look at James McAvoy’s Charles Xavier.

Serpico indeed! From the looks of this, Xavier will be hanging on to his locks for a while yet, and, given that the portion of the film featuring the First Class cast will be set in the 1970s, he’s gone for it, including a mane that would even impress Hugh Jackman’s Logan.

Days Of Future Past finds the X-team in real trouble in a dark alternate future where mutants are hunted down, put in internment camps or killed by the robotic sentinels. To stop this happening will require the efforts not only of the present-day team (including Jackman, Shawn Ashmore, Ellen Page, Halle Berry, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Anna Paquin and Daniel Cudmore), but also the younger versions of some of them in the '70s (with McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult all returning).

It’s all being shot in 3D right now in Canada ready for a July 17, 2014 release date.

Naked Gun Reboot On It's Way

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery. Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin is a loveable buffoon for the ages, even when he's discussing his dicky prostrate. Do not, however, expect the Ed Helms -starring reboot to adopt exactly the same tack. According to Naked Gun director/co-writer David Zucker, talking up Airplane!'s screening at Nashville's Wild West Comedy Festival, the new version will not attempt to hit the same spoofy sweet spot as the Zuckers and Jim Abrahams' 1988 comedy. "It won’t be like the Naked Gun that I did," Zucker revealed. "It may be good, but it won’t be that kind of movie. They’re going to use the title. They asked me if I wanted to produce. They’re nice people, but they don’t want to do that style of spoof that I do." One departure
