Who is The Nomadic Family?

Insanely unorthodox, embarrassingly honest, and on a path to spiritual awakening, this family of 5 is on their third year of non-stop budget world travel. They lived with an indigenous tribe in the jungles of Ecuador, taught spirituality classes in hostels in Cambodia for 7 months, and are now training for their Fall 2013 Annapurna Circuit trek in Nepal where a film crew will accompany them for a documentary about how The Nomadic Family is redefining modern family life. Their critically acclaimed blog (thenomadicfamily.com) explains the untold sides of family travel life, those moments that take your breath away, and the adventures and mishaps while globetrotting.

The Project:

We'll be following the Nomadic Family to Nepal as they trek the hills of Annapurna for three weeks, and then volunteer at an orphanage near Kathmandu (www.thekumariproject.org). In an ever changing universe, in the age of technology, watch as they live by their own rules, and make their dreams come true.

What your money goes towards:

40% pre-production costs, equipment

60% production costs, travel expenses

Please remember to spread the word! Thank you for your time!

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter

We're planning to trek in a country that we've never been to, with abnormally high elevations, and 3 pre-teenage kids. Nothing about this project is going to be easy. But, lucky for us, we didn't get to where we are today by fearing adversity. As seasoned travelers, we know to plan on our plans changing, and to expect the unexpected. Our job is to be flexible, roll with the punches, and never underestimate the goodness in people. I know enough to know that what we need will be provided. It happens every time. After all, the journey is the destination.

Follow the Nomadic Family as they trek Annapurna, volunteer with locals, and redefine the meaning of family, happiness, and success.

Naked Gun Reboot On It's Way

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery. Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin is a loveable buffoon for the ages, even when he's discussing his dicky prostrate. Do not, however, expect the Ed Helms -starring reboot to adopt exactly the same tack. According to Naked Gun director/co-writer David Zucker, talking up Airplane!'s screening at Nashville's Wild West Comedy Festival, the new version will not attempt to hit the same spoofy sweet spot as the Zuckers and Jim Abrahams' 1988 comedy. "It won’t be like the Naked Gun that I did," Zucker revealed. "It may be good, but it won’t be that kind of movie. They’re going to use the title. They asked me if I wanted to produce. They’re nice people, but they don’t want to do that style of spoof that I do." One departure
