BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Unhung Hero DVD Review. Does Size Matter?

Unhung Hero DVD Review

Does size really matter? Unhung Hero seeks answers to the eternal question.

Did you see the embarrassing YouTube video of the guy who got his wedding proposal rejected at a UCLA basketball game? The poor dude is Patrick Moote, and the reason for the rejection was later painfully revealed: he suffered from a small penis. This soon spread across the Internet and to talk shows, making Moote a bit of a celebrity. Determined to find out whether he was in fact too small, the actor/comedian set out on a world-wide hunt for answers. He starts at his Pacific Northwest hometown, where he shares the bad news with his parents, moves to a urologist who prescribes a regiment of pills and a pump, and eventually finds himself in Papua New Guinea and Korea to entertain some very unconventional measures. Moote is pumped, pilled, drinks strange concoctions, and later considers injections and surgery to change his length.

It's an uncomfortable subject to be sure, especially when the central message of the documentary is that most women want their men to be hung, and that they will ultimately seek a more endowed male at the expense of smaller men. Whether true or not, Moote struggles to identify whether he needs the change to find true happiness, and whether a documentary about his search is really necessary. Unhung Hero contains just enough science and pretty animation to feel relevant without being too heavy or looking too pre-planned; but its 'be yourself' advice is really what he should have pursued all along, rather than taking a big trip seeking quick fixes. In the end, it was nice to see Moote hook up with a new girl, someone who obviously likes him for more than his perceived issue. The larger discussion - whether women and men have unrealistic expectations based on their exposure to porn - is an interesting one to consider. Hero only scratches that surface, but perhaps such a humiliating premise is needed before audiences can begin a dialogue that's been necessary for quite some time. For now, Unhung Hero is decent filler if you come across it but we'd suggest to wait this one out until it arrives on Netflix. It's unrated and has a runtime of 84 minutes.

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim...
