BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Frank Grillo Could Be Crossbones In Winter Solider?

One of the nicest interviews and coolest guy I have met so far might be getting into the super hero film business.

Though this remains one for the Rumor Files until the final decision is made, The Grey’s Frank Grillo has hit Twitter to drop a hint that he has tested for a role in a Marvel film. He followed that up with one about Marvel fans with #bones and then radio host / comedian Matthew Aaron Show added fuel to the fire, saying that Grillo is close to scoring the role of Crossbones, one of the villains in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

You might not recognize the name but you are sure to know the face. He has starred in Edge of Darkness, Warrior, The Grey and End of Watch.

With Joe and Anthony Russo set to start directing the movie in March, casting is naturally in full swing. Grillo certainly seems to fit the physical type for Crossbones, who is often seen in the comics as a henchman of Red Skull and has appeared in Cap’s titles in stories alongside Falcon (who will be portrayed in the film by Anthony Mackie) and Winter Soldier (possibly Sebastian Stan, since Bucky Barnes becomes the Soldier).

Confirmed details are scarce from Marvel themselves, though apparently the film will feature two powerful male villains. Josh Holloway and Game Of Thrones’ Nikolaj Coster-Waldau have also been mentioned as possible candidates, so we’ll have to wait and see who – if any of them – gets chosen.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is set for release on April 4, 2014.

Naked Gun Reboot On It's Way

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery. Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin is a loveable buffoon for the ages, even when he's discussing his dicky prostrate. Do not, however, expect the Ed Helms -starring reboot to adopt exactly the same tack. According to Naked Gun director/co-writer David Zucker, talking up Airplane!'s screening at Nashville's Wild West Comedy Festival, the new version will not attempt to hit the same spoofy sweet spot as the Zuckers and Jim Abrahams' 1988 comedy. "It won’t be like the Naked Gun that I did," Zucker revealed. "It may be good, but it won’t be that kind of movie. They’re going to use the title. They asked me if I wanted to produce. They’re nice people, but they don’t want to do that style of spoof that I do." One departure
