BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Star Wars Live Action Show May Be Closer Then We Think

Star Wars Live Action Show May Be Closer Then We Think

We got news this week about a kids show about Star Wars and now we have the real news that all of us want. We all want to know what is going on with the live action Star Wars TV series, and when we will it arrive in our galaxy.

The million dollar answer maybe right around the corner. According to Maureen Ryan from The Chicago Tribune. That's because Lucas and executive producer Rick McCallum want all the scripts for the show's first season to be completed before production begins.
"They are working with writers on scripts," a Lucasfilm representative said in response to a query. "They won't set a production date [for Season 1] until the scripts are done."
But work on the unnamed show's scripts appears to be at an advanced stage—which isn't surprising, considering the writing of the live-action show began two years ago.

Bounty hunters and minor characters from the "Star Wars" universe of books and games are said to be the focus of the new show, which takes place in the time frame between "Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith" and "Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope." It may have a few familiar faces, and when I talked to Lucas himself about the show I asked the question:
Will Boba Fett Being making an appearance in the show and will Daniel Logan be playing him in the Television Show?
He replied:
(With a smile) It is too early to say, but you never know.
Lucas and McCallum recruited writers from all over the world, including the UK and Australia, to work on the TV series, which Lucas is financing himself.  The show is being developed independently by Lucasfilm with writers from all over the world and has not found a home on any TV network yet.

As for casting?

"They met with people in several countries (including Australia) early on but they are not currently casting. They are not going to start casting until the scripts are completed," according to the Lucasfilm rep.

Naked Gun Reboot On It's Way

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery. Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin is a loveable buffoon for the ages, even when he's discussing his dicky prostrate. Do not, however, expect the Ed Helms -starring reboot to adopt exactly the same tack. According to Naked Gun director/co-writer David Zucker, talking up Airplane!'s screening at Nashville's Wild West Comedy Festival, the new version will not attempt to hit the same spoofy sweet spot as the Zuckers and Jim Abrahams' 1988 comedy. "It won’t be like the Naked Gun that I did," Zucker revealed. "It may be good, but it won’t be that kind of movie. They’re going to use the title. They asked me if I wanted to produce. They’re nice people, but they don’t want to do that style of spoof that I do." One departure
