BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Enter For A Chance To Win Passes To See LAND IN ALBUQUERQUE

Enter For A Chance To Win Passes To See LAND On March 4th at 7:00 PM in ALBUQUERQUE.

A story about healing and the transcendent power of human kindness, Land follows the journey of a woman searching for a new way to live in the wake of a life-altering loss. Facing a future she’d never imagined, Edee Holzer (Robin Wright) chooses to remove herself from society and journeys west into the Wyoming wilderness. After purchasing a remote parcel of land with an old log cabin and enough supplies to sustain herself for several months, she disconnects from all that she knows and begins her new existence in this rugged and unfamiliar terrain. As summer turns to autumn and then winter, Edee is tested by the unforgiving realities of wild nature, where a moment’s inattention can result in catastrophe.

Doggedly persevering, she is nonetheless losing ground when she encounters Miguel Borras (Demián Bichir), a local man who provides clean water to a nearby indigenous reservation. Miguel’s quiet and patient manner puts Edee at ease as he teaches her how to survive in the wilderness by hunting, trapping, and foraging. Each visit from Miguel remains focused on the present, as each recognizes the other’s reluctance to share details of their pasts and any news of the outside world off limits per Edee’s request. Over the course of seasons, an unexpected friendship develops and deepens, ultimately bringing healing and grace to them both.

Naked Gun Reboot On It's Way

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery. Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin is a loveable buffoon for the ages, even when he's discussing his dicky prostrate. Do not, however, expect the Ed Helms -starring reboot to adopt exactly the same tack. According to Naked Gun director/co-writer David Zucker, talking up Airplane!'s screening at Nashville's Wild West Comedy Festival, the new version will not attempt to hit the same spoofy sweet spot as the Zuckers and Jim Abrahams' 1988 comedy. "It won’t be like the Naked Gun that I did," Zucker revealed. "It may be good, but it won’t be that kind of movie. They’re going to use the title. They asked me if I wanted to produce. They’re nice people, but they don’t want to do that style of spoof that I do." One departure
