BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Cinedigm Will Release DEAR DICTATOR Starring Michael Caine In theaters & on VOD March 16, 2018

Cinedigm Corp (NASDAQ: CIDM) has acquired all North American distribution rights to the acerbic high school comedy, DEAR DICTATOR (formerly titled COUP D'ETAT). Cinedigm will release the picture theatrically and on Digital and TV VOD platforms on March 16, 2018, with a DVD release to follow on April 24, 2018.

DEAR DICTATOR boasts an all-star cast with Odeya Rush (LADY BIRD, GOOSEBUMPS), two-time Oscar® winner Michael Caine (GOING IN STYLE, NOW YOU SEE ME 2), Katie Holmes (LOGAN LUCKY, ALL WE HAD), Seth Green (FAMILY GUY, ROBOT CHICKEN) and Jason Biggs (ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK, AMERICAN REUNION). The picture was written and directed by the husband and wife team of Lisa Addario and Joe Syracuse, who also wrote and directed the autobiographical comedy, AMATEUR NIGHT, starring Ashley Tisdale and Jason Biggs, and released by Cinedigm in 2016. Under the title "COUP D'ETAT," the script for DEAR DICTATOR had been featured on "The Black List", the annual entertainment industry survey of the "most liked" screenplays for the year.

The picture focuses on Tatiana (Rush), a misfit teen, who begins writing letters to a notorious British-Caribbean dictator, General Anton Vincent, played with great panache by the legendary Michael Caine. When Vincent is overthrown in a coup, he flees to Tatiana's home, which she shares with her single mom (Holmes). While hiding out in suburbia, Anton teaches the teen how to start her own high school revolution by taking down the popular kids and grabbing all the power for herself!

"With DEAR DICTATOR, Lisa and Joe have delivered a smart, original and biting black comedy with a fantastic cast and laugh-out-loud moments," said Yolanda Macias, Cinedigm's Executive Vice-President of Acquisitions. "The picture skewers the traditional high school hierarchy and appeals to the inner-rebel in all of us."

"After working with Cinedigm on AMATEUR NIGHT, we know them to be collaborative and supportive partners," said Syracuse and Addario. "Their team is enthusiastic and has a track record of success with indie movies, and we could not have found a better distribution home for DEAR DICTATOR."

The film was produced by Coastal Film Studios, Aloe Entertainment, Fortitude International, and Defiant Pictures and individually by Jake Shapiro, Mary Aloe, Jorge Garcia Castro, Robert Ogden Barnum, Daniel Grodnik, and Lucas Jarach. Executive Producers are Wei Wang, Paul Brett, Wayne Chang, Michael Clofine, Luke Daniels, Nadine DeBarros, Paul English, Anders Erden, Kevin Scott Frakes, Sean Glover, Lila Janakievski, George Nedelkovski, Alan Pao, Buddy Patrick, Tim Smith, Peter Stewart, James Swarbrick, and Adrian Voo.

The deal was negotiated by Cinedigm's Melody Fowler, Vice-President of Acquisitions, and United Talent Agency on behalf of the filmmakers.

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim...

Movie Review: #Vacation

Vacation makes me want to take a STAY-cation. Review by Matt Cummings It's not too often that a movie makes me wish film never existed, yet her I am ready to give the newest Vacation all the hate it deserves. And hate on it I will. Grown-up Rusty (Ed Helms) is stuck in a dull marriage to Debbie (Christina Applegate), who's been forced year after year to spend vacation with her family at a cabin in Michigan. When the overly optimistic Rusty realizes his family needs a change, he packs them up for a trip to Walley World, the site of his greatest trip as a teen. But soon, his family begins to encounter difficulties and flat-out disasters that could end their road trip and return Rusty's marriage back to square one. It might surprise our readers to know that someone from our team actually considered walking out of Vacation , and we get to see these films for free. That's how bad our experience became as we sat mesmerized by its 99 minutes of ineptit...
