BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

The Boat Builder To Premiere 38th @DenverFilm

The Boat Builder will celebrate its Colorado Premiere at the 38th Denver Film Festival on Friday, November 13, 6:30pm at the UA Denver Pavilions.

In competition for the Festival's True Grit award for Best Colorado Produced Film, The Boat Builder is written and directed by Arnold Grossman and stars Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Taxi), Jane Kaczmarek (Malcolm in the Middle), and David Lascher (Hey Dude, Sabrina the Teenage Witch)

The Boat Builder tells the story of Abner, played by Christopher Lloyd, an embittered old mariner and widower living a solitary life. Withdrawn from his family and the tight-knit community of his small marine town, he is a grumpy and unsociable man who seems to live in the past - only finding comfort in the countless hours spent building a sailboat in his yard. When neglected young orphan Rick, played by Tekola Cornetet, wanders onto Abner's property hiding from local bullies, the two find common ground and form an unlikely bond which changes their lives in unexpected ways.

Preceding the Denver screenings, The Boat Builder will make its World Premiere on the Opening Night of the 30th Ft. Lauderdale International Film Festival on November 6, 8:00pm at Cinema Paradiso-Fort Lauderdale. As part of the opening night celebrations, Christopher Lloyd will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

DENVER-BASED PROJECT "THE BOAT BUILDER" TO CELEBRATE ITS COLORADO PREMIERE AT 38TH DENVER FILM FESTIVAL

Film to Screen as Part of the Festival's True Grit Award Competition
For Best Colorado Produced Film

The Boat Builder will make its Colorado Premiere at the 38th Denver Film Festival on Friday, November 13, 6:30pm at the UA Denver Pavilions. In competition for the Festival's True Grit award for Best Colorado Produced Film, The Boat Builder will also screen on Saturday, November 14, 11:00am at the UA Denver Pavilions.

Christopher Lloyd stars as Abner, an embittered old mariner and widower living a solitary life. Withdrawn from his family and the tight-knit community of his small marine town, he is a grumpy and unsociable man who seems to live in the past - only finding comfort in the countless hours spent building a sailboat in his yard. When neglected young orphan Rick (Tekola Cornetet) wanders onto Abner's property hiding from local bullies, the two find common ground and form an unlikely bond which changes their lives in unexpected ways.

Written and directed by Arnold Grossman, a published novelist and nonfiction author, The Boat Builder is a story "about the building of a dream." Produced by Richard J. Bosner (Fruitvale Station, The Wannabe), the film also stars Jane Kaczmarek (Malcolm in the Middle) and David Lascher (Hey Dude, Sabrina the Teenage Witch).

The Boat Builder marks Arnold Grossman's directorial debut on a narrative feature. Starting his journey as an indie filmmaker later in life "is the culmination of lessons learned from my life experiences and a long career in various creative fields," he stated. "With this film, I was interested in exploring the story of two people at opposite ends of life, who find a bond in a shared dream" continued Grossman. "A key element in the film is the unfolding of a character-driven story layer by layer, as the two principal characters gradually grow closer while working together."

"Denver has inspired the project in many ways" said longtime resident, Grossman, "from the genesis of the story, to the casting of young Tekola Cornetet" he continued, "I am honored to share the film with the Denver audiences - here where it was born and where it came to life."

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim...

Movie Review: #Vacation

Vacation makes me want to take a STAY-cation. Review by Matt Cummings It's not too often that a movie makes me wish film never existed, yet her I am ready to give the newest Vacation all the hate it deserves. And hate on it I will. Grown-up Rusty (Ed Helms) is stuck in a dull marriage to Debbie (Christina Applegate), who's been forced year after year to spend vacation with her family at a cabin in Michigan. When the overly optimistic Rusty realizes his family needs a change, he packs them up for a trip to Walley World, the site of his greatest trip as a teen. But soon, his family begins to encounter difficulties and flat-out disasters that could end their road trip and return Rusty's marriage back to square one. It might surprise our readers to know that someone from our team actually considered walking out of Vacation , and we get to see these films for free. That's how bad our experience became as we sat mesmerized by its 99 minutes of ineptit...
