BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

First Trailer for Jurassic World

Check out the first full trailer re-welcoming a long-lost franchise.

One of the mainstays of movie time in the 1990's Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park introduced audiences to the world of dinosaurs run amok. It was also one of the first computer-generated films to feature animals completely made in the digital realm. When it was re-released in 2013 in 3D, it was like the series never left (read our review here). When it premiered in 1993 to strong praise and box office success, the door seemed open to an every-three years slew of dinosaur fright. In subsequent years, the franchise saw two sequels that were financially successful but failed to match the excitement generated by the original.

Unfortunately, the franchise has been in neutral with a fourth Jurassic Park movie stuck in development Hell, including a version that was to feature dinosaur-human hybrids (really?), Director Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed) has finally returned with Jurassic World. Despite the pervasiveness of the Internet, little is know about it. But that's about to change, as we've finally been gifted with the following. Check out the first official Jurassic World trailer:

The story will be centered on the familiar Isla Nublar, site of the previous three films. The park has been renovated and actually enjoys stellar success, that is until a new hybrid predator is conceived by the park's scientists. From what you can see above, it does appear that some of the wonder and spectacle of the original has returned, just before Chris Pratt appears to help the island deal with this new super-dinosaur. We love this trailer for a very simple reason: in an age where audiences can see the entire film played out in a 2:30 trailer, this one gives us just enough action and discovery while making the threat of a new hunter class feel very real indeed. Of course, that could all change within the next 6 1/2 months, as interest returns to a series that probably should never have left.

Whether Trevorrow's vision plays out or not - and what he has in store for moviegoers - is too early to tell. But with a successful viral campaign earlier this year - depicting the fictional Marsani Global company rebuilding Isla Nublar after the last three films - and a trailer that seems to capture the spirit (if not the buzz) of the original, we're a little more excited about revisiting the world of Jurassic Park. Based on the trailer, what do you think? Join in the conversation below.

Jurassic World stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Nick Robinson, Judy Greer, and Ty Simpkins and will be released on June 12, 2015.

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim...

Movie Review: #Vacation

Vacation makes me want to take a STAY-cation. Review by Matt Cummings It's not too often that a movie makes me wish film never existed, yet her I am ready to give the newest Vacation all the hate it deserves. And hate on it I will. Grown-up Rusty (Ed Helms) is stuck in a dull marriage to Debbie (Christina Applegate), who's been forced year after year to spend vacation with her family at a cabin in Michigan. When the overly optimistic Rusty realizes his family needs a change, he packs them up for a trip to Walley World, the site of his greatest trip as a teen. But soon, his family begins to encounter difficulties and flat-out disasters that could end their road trip and return Rusty's marriage back to square one. It might surprise our readers to know that someone from our team actually considered walking out of Vacation , and we get to see these films for free. That's how bad our experience became as we sat mesmerized by its 99 minutes of ineptit...
