BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

BAD ASSES, STARRING DANNY TREJO AND DANNY GLOVER Is A Wrap

Looks like BAD ASSES, STARRING DANNY TREJO AND DANNY GLOVER, WRAPS PRODUCTION IN LOS ANGELES.

BAD ASSES, the action-packed follow-up to the 2012 cult hit Bad Ass, wrapped production last week in Los Angeles. Vietnam veteran Frank Vega (Danny Trejo; Machete) returns with a new partner in Bernie (Danny Glover; Lethal Weapon) as they clean up the streets and take the law into their own hands.

Since we last saw Frank, he followed his dream and opened a Community Center in East Los Angeles where he mentors young boxers, not only in the ring, but in life. When his prized student, Manny, gets in over his head with a bad crowd and winds up dead, Frank and Bernie team up, finding themselves ensnared in one life threatening predicament after another. Forced to escape using the only weapons they have – their wits and their fists – they must survive the onslaught of fury that is brought upon them and Frank’s new found love from a high powered, politically connected foe, Leandro (Andrew Divoff; “Lost”).

Often hilarious with a touch of heart and romance, BAD ASSES is produced by the team of Ben Feingold, Ash Shah, and Jim Busfield and sees the return of director Craig Moss who helmed Bad Ass in 2012. Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment (TCFHE) will handle worldwide distribution on Blu-ray, DVD, VOD and digital download for the film’s release in early 2014 following a theatrical release setup by the producers at year end.

Naked Gun Reboot On It's Way

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery. Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin is a loveable buffoon for the ages, even when he's discussing his dicky prostrate. Do not, however, expect the Ed Helms -starring reboot to adopt exactly the same tack. According to Naked Gun director/co-writer David Zucker, talking up Airplane!'s screening at Nashville's Wild West Comedy Festival, the new version will not attempt to hit the same spoofy sweet spot as the Zuckers and Jim Abrahams' 1988 comedy. "It won’t be like the Naked Gun that I did," Zucker revealed. "It may be good, but it won’t be that kind of movie. They’re going to use the title. They asked me if I wanted to produce. They’re nice people, but they don’t want to do that style of spoof that I do." One departure
