BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

"Get Him to the Greek" Movie Review By Windy

"Get Him To The Greek", directed by Nicholas Staller and starring Jonah Hill and Russell Brand is a spin-off from 2008's "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" by the same director.

Though a spin-off, there's one immediate mis-step (or creative liberty). In "Marshall", Russell Brand's character, Aldous Snow, meets Jonah Hill's restaurant host character several times. In "Greek", the two apparently have never met.

Aside from that one obvious change, "Greek" produces non-stop laughter from start to finish in the same manner as "The Hangover" - scenes that are so inappropriate you don't know if you should laugh or cover your eyes.

John Hill plays Aaron Greene, a peon working for music producing mogul Sergio Roma, hilariously portrayed by Sean "P. Diddy" Combs. With a last-stitch effort to keep the the music company profitable, Greene suggests a revival of a concert Aldous Snow played 10 years ago at the Greek Theater. All Greene needs to do is pick up the worn out, drug addicted Snow and ensure he makes it to The Greek for his performance. Sounds simple enough...

Ensuing is one "I can't believe that just happened" moment to another, with Greene getting the most laughs as he takes on every impossible task to keep Snow on track - from downing a carafe of whiskey so Snow can't drink it to smoking everything in their path to avoid Snow touching it.

Brand and Hill play extremely well off one another. Hill's comedic timing and physical antics combined with Brand's deadpan remarks, these two actors produce a well-timed, if not inappropriate comedy.

Another round of applause is deserved for Sean Combs, who has a strong supporting role as a "do whatever it takes" producer. Whenever he appears on screen, he garners laughs from the audience for his well-timed remarks.

"Get Him to the Greek" is a successful spin-off and could even stand on its own, as you don't need to see "Marshall" to enjoy all the laughs this film has to offer.

Naked Gun Reboot On It's Way

If you've seen Naked Gun - or The Naked Gun: From The Files Of Police Squad ! to give its full title - you'll know that it's a comedic masterpiece that springboards off astonishing levels of silliness and random spoofery. Leslie Nielsen's Frank Drebin is a loveable buffoon for the ages, even when he's discussing his dicky prostrate. Do not, however, expect the Ed Helms -starring reboot to adopt exactly the same tack. According to Naked Gun director/co-writer David Zucker, talking up Airplane!'s screening at Nashville's Wild West Comedy Festival, the new version will not attempt to hit the same spoofy sweet spot as the Zuckers and Jim Abrahams' 1988 comedy. "It won’t be like the Naked Gun that I did," Zucker revealed. "It may be good, but it won’t be that kind of movie. They’re going to use the title. They asked me if I wanted to produce. They’re nice people, but they don’t want to do that style of spoof that I do." One departure
