Ben Affleck And Matt Damon Working On McDonald's Monopoly Film

True crime tales often make good source material for movies, and one about a scam involving a McDonald's Monopoly game is a doozy. The rights have now attracted 20th Century Fox, with Ben Affleck on to direct and Matt Damon considering starring in the untitled film. In this case, the article source is Jeff Maysh's excellent piece for The Daily Beast entitled How An Ex-Cop Rigged McDonald’s Monopoly Game And Stole Millions ( you can read it here ). The story follows the tale of a former cop who rigged the game and stole more than $24 million, pocketing some and sharing the rest with co-conspirators who helped him run the scam, which included mobsters, psychic, strip-club owners, drug traffickers and a family of Mormons who falsely claimed to have won more than millions in cash and prizes. Deadpool duo Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese are the people tasked with turning that into a script. Affleck and Damon will produce the film for Fox, which according to Deadline beat the

Rebecca Ferguson Joins New Men In Black Movie

She's on our screens at the moment, having returned to the Mission: Impossible franchise for the successful Fallout. And Rebecca Ferguson is continuing to notch up the high profile film jobs. She's now sealed a deal to take one of the leads in the new Men In Black. She'll star alongside Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Emma Thompson, Liam Neeson, Rafe Spall and Kumail Nanjiani in the new spin-off, which will be set in the same universe as the movies which starred Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, but will not feature those characters (aside from potential cameos, and of the two, we could only see Smith showing up). F. Gary Gray is directing the movie right now in and around London. Quite who Ferguson will be playing remains a mystery at this point, but we do know that the movie will be the second film she shoots in a row, as she's officially aboard Stephen King-based Shining sequel Doctor Sleep, playing a nasty villain.
