ROGER MICHELL TO DIRECT ‘ MY COUSIN RACHEL ’ STARRING RACHEL WEISZ AND SAM CLAFLIN FOR FOX SEARCHLIGHT PICTURES. Fox Searchlight Pictures UK announced that principal photography will begin on April 4, 2016 on Free Range Films’ MY COUSIN RACHEL, and will continue until mid-June in England and Italy. Based on the classic novel by Daphne du Maurier and adapted by director Roger Michell, the film stars Academy Award winner Rachel Weisz (YOUTH, THE CONSTANT GARDENER), Sam Claflin (THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY), Holliday Grainger (CINDERELLA), Iain Glen (“Game of Thrones”) and acclaimed stage actor Simon Russell Beale (INTO THE WOODS). It's a busy time for Julia Roberts in her producer/star capacity. She's already got based-on-reality crime story Train Man in development and is adding to her potential To Do list with Fool Me Once . This one is firmly back in fictional thriller territory, adapting Harlan Coben's recent book (so recent, it hit shelves last week) via her Red Om Films company. The story focuses on a former special ops pilot named Maya (Roberts, if she does decide to star) who is horrified when she sees her two-year-old daughter playing with her husband Joe in the nanny cam while she's at work. The reason she's so shocked? Joe was horribly murdered two weeks earlier. Cue this! Variety is reporting Keanu Reeves has been cast opposite Lily Collins in Marti Noxon’s feature directorial debut “ To the Bone ,” a dark comedy inspired by her own personal experience with anorexia. “To the Bone” is the first picture announced from their slate, with principal photography set for the end of March in Los Angeles. Reeves will be playing William Beckham, the doctor with an unorthodox style who pushes Collins’ character to choose life and commit to getting better. “Keanu has such generosity and intelligence, not to mention a warmth that I’m eager to tap into.
