In one of the biggest commitments ever for HBO , the pay cable network has nabbed Westworld , a drama series inspired by Michael Crichton’s 1973 sci-fi movie. The project, from J.J. Abrams‘ Bad Robot, Person Of Interest creator Jonathan Nolan , producer Jerry Weintraub and Warner Bros TV, has received a pilot production commitment. It marks the first major cable sale for Bad Robot, which had been focused on broadcast TV for the past few years with such series as Fringe, Person Of Interest, Revolution and the upcoming Believe. Written by Nolan and Lisa Joy (Burn Notice), Westworld is described as a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the future of sin. No description on who Russell would be playing, but sources say it is the role that Uni originally offered to Denzel Washington — clearly showing its importance to the films story. “ Fast & Furious 7 ″ brings back most of its talent from the franchise, including Vin Diesel, Paul Walker , producer Neal H. The black, white and brown smoke has wafted from the Marvel chimney to announce that Bradley Cooper is officially the voice of Rocket Raccoon . Cooper was rumoured a few days ago, and now Marvel has made the full announcement on its site. He joins a cast that already includes Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Benicio Del Toro, Karen Gillan, Glenn Close, Michael Rooker, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Gregg Henry, Ophelia Lovibond and, assuming the contract goes through, Vin Diesel providing motion capture and voice work for plant warrior Groot. Rocket is a genetically and mechanically altered critter, who teams up with a group of fellow outcasts (including Pratt’s human pilot, Peter Quill) to form an unlikely team of heroes.
