BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Eric Roberts Cast In Human Centipede 3

The Dark Knight actor Eric Roberts has been cast in Human Centipede 3 (Final Sequence). Franchise producer Ilona Six confirmed that the star, who was Oscar-nominated for playing an escaped convict in 1985′s Runaway Train, will appear in the third film of the notorious horror series. Roberts’ other notable credits include 1983′s Star 80, the following year’s The Pope of Greenwich Village, and The Expendables. Six also confirmed that Tommy “Tiny” Lister (Friday), Robert LaSardo (Death Race), and former porn actress (and former Charlie Sheen paramour) Bree Olson will make their Centipede debuts in the movie. They join a cast that already features returning villains Dieter Laser and Laurence R. Harvey and the series’ writer-director Tom Six. The Human Centipede is, of course, the infamous and much-parodied franchise in which people are, let us say, affixed together to form a single alimentary canal. The third movie is currently being shot in California and will reportedly feature a

Pirates Of The Caribbean 5 Is A Go

As Deadline Hollywood predicted last month, the Kon-Tiki directing team of Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg have landed the job directing Pirates Of The Caribbean 5 . Disney, Johnny Depp and producer Jerry Bruckheimer have all signed off on the choice, and negotiations are underway on a deal that will make quickly. The duo will come aboard to prep the massive movie for a late year or early January start. The studio is getting the script ship-shape, and they are bullish after getting a rewrite from Jeff Nathanson. This is an enormous coup for the Norwegian directing team who just fell out of the Legendary Pictures film Spectral. I’d written recently about Disney’s short list, and the fact these guys were atop it. Fredrik Bond, who helmed The Necessary Death Of Charlie Countryman, was also on the list as was Snow White And The Huntsman helmer Rupert Sanders. This is a game-changing job for a director or directing team, and it’s a case of these guys getting hot at exactly the rig

John C. Reilly To Join Marvels Guardians Of The Galaxy?

It sounds like Marvel are taking a Phase 1-style approach with their next slate of superhero movies, and rumor has it they’ve found the next “ Agent Coulson ” who will debut in Guardians of the Galaxy . HitFix is reporting a rumor that John C. Reilly (Wreck-It Ralph, Walk Hard) is in talks to take on the role of Rhomann Dey , a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who will work as a liaison between the Guardians and the Marvel Cinematic Universe we already know and love. Or, as they put it: “Basically, he's been designed as the Agent Coulson of the Guardians movies.” Of course, comic fans will be quick to note that the character of Rhomann Dey is the leader of the Nova Corps in comic lore, and this would be a major change to fit the character into the film world. But it wouldn’t be the first time Marvel tweaked some backstories to better fit the medium, and it makes sense they’d want a Coulson-like character to connect Guardians to the more Earth-based films. As for the casting choice? Reil

Mama Blu-ray Review. Brings Good Video & Exceptional Audio

Mama Blu-ray Review By: MattInRC Universal's Mama brings home good video and exceptional audio, even though it's got flaws.   Warning: major spoilers ahead. As I emerged from the press screening of a film back in late March, theater employees were handing out related posters. As I flipped the poster over, I learned that the studio was already planning its home release by encouraging audiences to pre-order it. At the time, I thought this was a marketing ploy based on the long delay which the film faced (I'm totally giving the name of this title away). But as the Summer 2013 season got underway, more and more titles suddenly became available for pre-release, representing an interesting trend - the idea that studios want to cash in on their marketing more effectively by quickly get their products into consumers' hands. As soon as Star Trek: Into Darkness and Fast Six were released in theaters, their pre-orders became almost instantly available. In sh

Fast & Furious 6 Cruises As The Leader At The Box Office This Weekend

" Fast & Furious 6 " turned its showdown with " The Hangover Part III " into a blowout, and drove the Memorial Day weekend box office into the record books. The latest entry in Universal's cars and criminals franchise is roaring to a $122 million four-day haul in its debut, and setting the pace for an overall box office that will top $300 million for the weekend . That easily beats the previous best Memorial Day holiday haul, which was the $276 million rung up in 2011 , when " Hangover II " led the pack with $85 million. " Fast & Furious 6 " is proving a global hit, too. It opened No. 1 in 59 foreign markets and took in $158 million abroad this weekend, giving it a three-day global total of $275 million, the studio's best-ever worldwide opening.
