New G.I. Joe: Retaliation Trailer Superbowl Ad

Here is the new trailer for G.I. Joe: Retaliation that will be shown during the Superbowl. Little has been revealed about the plot other than that it will feature the G.I. Joe Team coming into a conflict with Zartan, Storm Shadow and Firefly. Zartan (who is last seen in disguise as the President of the United States) has now got the world leaders all under his thumb, warheads headed towards innocent populaces, and some new heavies on the payroll to keep G.I. Joe at bay. G.I. Joe: Retaliation is directed by Jon M. Chu and stars Dwayne Johnson, Bruce Willis, Channing Tatum, Joseph Mazzello,Adrianne Palicki, Ray Park, Walton Goggins, Johnathan Pryce, Byung-hun Lee, RZA, and D.J. Cotrona . Gary Oldman Film Retrospect In San Francisco

Celebrating the iconic characterizations of one of the foremost actors of his generation, San Francisco’s KQED-FM ( www.kqed.org ), at 88.5-FM, is hosting a free retrospective of Gary Oldman ’s movies. Mr. Oldman last week earned his first-ever Academy Award nomination for Best Actor , and is also currently a BAFTA Award nominee , for Focus Features’ Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy , in which he portrays tenacious spy George Smiley. Mr. Oldman recently won the San Francisco Critics Circle’s award for Best Actor for his performance; the Circle also voted its Best Adapted Screenplay award to the film’s screenwriters Bridget O’Connor & Peter Straughan, who have also just been Academy Award-nominated. RoboCop Hires A New Writer

MGM has hired Gran Torino screenwriter Nick Schenk to work on the screenplay for RoboCop . Jose Padilha is attached to direct the action sci-fi reboot. The CAA-repped Schenk had been working with Padilha, who co-wrote and directed Elite Squad: The Enemy Within , on the action thriller Tri-Border. The writer also has the original drama The Judge set up at Warner Bros. with Team Downey producing. MGM has been developing a new take on the RoboCop franchise, which launched with the 1987 film directed by Paul Verhoeven, for years. Joe Carnahan has confirmed via twitter that he will be writing and directing a Death Wish remake. And for the first time he is writing the film exclusively for an actor who is non other then Frank Grillo . Who is one of the stars of THE GREY . Here is what Joe had to say: Guys.
