Brittany Murphy Passes Away

Brittany Murphy Passes Away I was never a huge fan of hers but I am sad when someone so young pass away. Sources are saying Brittany Murphy's mom discovered her unconscious in the shower. We're told when paramedics arrived, they quickly determined Murphy was in full cardiac arrest and immediately administered CPR. They continued CPR in route to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center -- several miles away -- and Murphy was unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the hospital. Brittany Murphy starred in several films such as Clueless, Girl Interrupted, Drop Dead Gorgeous, 8 Mile, Sin City, Just Married, Don't Say a Word and several other films. She also did the voice of Luanne on King of the Hill. She was so young, and this is incredibly sad news. Our hearts and prayers go out to her friends and family. Please Leave A Comment-

NBC's Chuck A Threat To Fox's House?

NBC's Chuck A Threat To Fox's House? No amount of apples will keep the doctor away from the Chuck premiere. Fox has moved up the date for the next original episode of House to Jan. 11, a Fox spokeswoman confirmed. The move pits the hit drama against the season premiere of NBC's underdog Chuck, announced last month. It also comes two days after NBC announced its midseason schedule. House previously was scheduled to return to the Fox lineup Jan. 25 in the Mondays at 8 p.m. time slot. The second half of the two-night, four-hour 24 premiere is still scheduled for Monday Jan. 18. House originals will resume on Jan. 25. CBS has been winning Mondays with its comedy block and CSI: Miami and has not announced any changes to that schedule in midseason. Since Dancing With the Stars ended, ABC has been filling the 8-10 block with holiday specials, Find My Family reality show and then Castle has been running at 10. The Bachelor returns to ABC Mondays from 8-10 starting Jan. 4. Related

J.J. Abrams' "Undercovers." Gets It's Male Lead

J.J. Abrams' "Undercovers." Gets It's Male Lead Boris Kodjoe has landed the male lead in J.J. Abrams' pilot for NBC "Undercovers." "Undercovers," described as a mix between "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" and "The Bourne Identity," revolves around spouses Samantha and Steven (Kodjoe) Bloom, who work together as spies. Earlier this week, veteran Gerald McRaney became the first actor tapped for the project as the couple's CIA boss. The role of Samantha is yet to be cast. Abrams is considering directing the Warner Bros. TV-produced pilot, which he co-wrote with Josh Reims. Kodjoe is a bold choice for a leading man on a network drama as broadcasters have stuck predominantly with Caucasian leads. Kodjoe, is probably best known for his starring role on the series "Soul Food." He will next be seen in "Resident Evil: Afterlife." Please Leave A Comment- Source- THR

Laurence Fishburne To Take On Predators

Laurence Fishburne To Take On Predators Hope his kung fu is up to scratch - Laurence Fishburne has joined the cast of Nimrod Antal's Predators. After visiting the set of the new, Robert Rodriguez-produced take on the be-dreadlocked alien hunters, the lads at Shock 'Till You Drop have learned that Morpheus himself is joining the cast to play a tough guy named Roland. It's perhaps less of a shock given that Fishburne and Antal just worked together on Armored, and that Larry is the sort of bloke you'd want around if you were fighting the warrior race. He'll star alongside the likes of Adrien Brody, Topher Grace, Danny Trejo, Alice Braga and The Shield's Walton Goggins. We love the little plot description at the end of the story: "They play a disparate group of people who land on the Predator home planet only to discover 'unspeakable horrors.'" And here we were thinking that the aliens' home contained flowery meadows and rainbow skies, and r

Doc Holliday Has More Adventures Upcoming

Doc Holliday Has More Adventures Upcoming Paramount Pictures has snapped up Chad St. John's action adventure spec "The Further Adventures of Doc Holliday" in the hopes of turning it into a Western-style tentpole. Lorenzo di Bonaventura, who produced the studio's "Transformers" films, is onboard to produce via his Par-based shingle. Studio is keeping the logline under wraps, but the project is described as a history-based action adventure tale in the vein of "Pirates of the Caribbean." The famously tuberculosis-ridden gunfighter Holliday is best known for his friendship with Western lawman Wyatt Earp and for his role in 1881's Gunfight at the O.K. Corral in Tombstone, Ariz.
