TV Recap: THE FOLLOWING "SACRIFICE" Season 2 Episode 7

TV Recap: THE FOLLOWING "SACRIFICE" Season 2 Episode 7 By: Sue Joe, Emma, and Mandy meet with an old friend of his named Robert in a different cult but when they reach his base, they are met with armed guards led by a no-nonsense woman who has them all bound and has bags placed over their heads before they're put into a van. Upon arrival, they're told to remove their clothing and shower off as a means of cleansing themselves. Just your typical cult weirdness. Ryan goes into the FBI where Agent Mendez tells him that she's now inclined to believe his theory about Joe Carroll being alive. He remains disinclined to collaborate with her. Ryan leaves and meets Mike, who tells him he is done helping him. Mike says that too much has happened and he's essentially been traumatised by working on this case. Meanwhile, Max has been suspended for six months. She doesn't seem all that bothered by it, being more worried about what Ryan will do next. She tells him he i

New R.I.P.D Featurette Starring Ryan Reynolds / Jeff Bridges

With the film set for a late – no pun intended – summer release, the marketing team behind Ryan Reynolds / Jeff Bridges action comedy R.I.P.D. has come out firing with a new featurette about the movie. It’s a blend of bits from the trailer that we’ve already seen, some fresh footage (particularly the opening moments between Reynolds and soon-to-be-former partner Kevin Bacon ) and talking heads with the cast explaining what it’s all about. R.I.P.D. sees Reynolds play Nick Walker, a 15-year veteran police officer who dies on the job when a raid goes badly. Drawn up to heaven, he find himself in the titular police department, a unit charged with making sure that nefarious spirits unwilling to stay dead and buried don’t cause havoc in the mortal realm. Nick is partnered with Roy Pulsipher ( Bridges ), a cranky, wise, 200-year-old (technically) cowboy. Soon they’re on the beat, with Nick discovering that angelic police officers are more durable than humans and that something na

Footloose Movie Review By: Rama

Footloose Movie Review  By: Rama So did Rama put on his dancing shoes after he saw Footloose ? Read his review to find out. Make sure to follow him on Facebook and Twitter . It’s been years since the last time I watched the Kevin Bacon version, I remember I wasn’t too crazy about it but I also remember enough to be able to tell that FOOTLOOSE remake tries its best to stay as faithful as possible. So that is something to appreciate about this new take. The dances and some of the song selections are obviously updated. Despite its many flaws, for a remake, FOOTLOOSE is not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Humor is its biggest strength. If there’s an Oscar for best comic relief of the year, it would go to actor Miles Teller. I think today’s generation will dance to the beat and the spirit of this movie just fine.. In the remake of the 1984 film, Ren MacCormack (played by newcomer Kenny Wormald ) is transplanted from Boston to the small southern town of Bomont where he

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS Blu-Ray Review By: Rama

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS Blu-Ray Review By: Rama Ramascreen delivers another homerun with his review of   X-MEN: FIRST CLASS Blu-Ray Edition. Please make sure to follow him on Facebook and Twitter . One of the most-well reviewed films of 2011 has arrived in Blu-ray. X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, in my humble opinion, is also one of the best superhero movies ever made. Everything about this movie is just right. The perfect mix of drama and action complimented by Oscar-worthy performances from some of its key cast members. The film is also one of this year’s pleasant surprises, considering the production was ridiculously fast for a big budget summer movie, many even thought it was doomed from the start because the adaptation significantly went astray from the comic book that it’s based on. But the film worked, it surprisingly worked. This blu-ray shows you why and big chunk of it is because the story and the characters went back to the franchise’s basic, which is about control and self acceptanc

Flatliners Is the Next Movie To Get Remade

Dam you Hollywood another remake on the way. Ben Ripley, who most recently penned Source Code , has been signed to a development deal with Sony to write a contemporary reimagining of Flatliners , the 1990 Joel Schumacher drama about medical students who dabble too far into near-death experiments that starred then-emerging actors like Kiefer Sutherland, Julia Roberts and William Baldwin, as well as Kevin Bacon . Maybe Sony thinks a redo can launch a few more young careers in the same manner? Laurence Mark is set to produce, likely with Further Films, for Columbia Pictures. David Blackman is overseeing for Laurence Mark Prods. Ripley penned the April release Source Code for Summit Entertainment; the film was a surprise hit and has made $123.3 million worldwide to date. X-Men: First Class Magneto In Drag

Sometimes being an arch-nemesis is a real drag. The clip is from a Japaneses commercial promoting the deleted scenes for the upcoming DVD release of  X-Men: First Class Exhibit A: Consider this deleted scene from X-Men: First Class , included in the DVD out Sept. 9. It all starts innocently enough: Eric Lehnsherr ( Michael Fassbender ) and Charles Xavier ( James McAvoy ) are on a recruiting mission for their new, government-sanctioned mutant strike force. Angel ( Zoe Kravitz ) is working as a stripper, and they want to get her to reveal how her dragonfly tattoos actually emerge from her body to form real wings. Magneto levitated a champagne bucket to show her his power, but Angel never quite got a demonstration of Professor X’s mindbending abilities. Now we see why that was left on the cutting room floor.
