BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

"Sgt. Rock" Coming To A Theater Near You

"Sgt. Rock" Coming To A Theater Near You “Sgt. Rock,” a long-gestating project based on the World War II hero from DC Comics, is moving forward … by going into the future. The only down side to this film being made is that it will be set in the future not during WWII. I feel that this direction will kill the film. Francis Lawrence is attached to direct, and Chad St. John, who wrote the spec “The Days Before,” is charged with writing the new take. Joel Silver, who has been steering the project for nearly 20 years, is teaming with Akiva Goldsman, who recently boarded as producer, to bring the project to the big screen via Warner Bros. Sgt. Frank Rock was the leader of his infantry unit, Easy Company. He first appeared in a 1959 issue of “Our Army at War.” In 1977, the comic was renamed “Sgt. Rock” and ran until 1988. Until now, “Rock” has retained its World War II setting, with Silver and the studio trying to make a big-budget action adventure movie that was a throwback to flic

New Sherlock Holmes Trailer

New Action Packed Trailer For Sherlock Holmes The footage that is in the trailer is re-cut from trailers we have seen before. The great thing about this trailer is we get to see some new footage. I am excited to see this film from what I have seen from the trailers. The action-adventure mystery Sherlock Holmes is helmed by acclaimed filmmaker Guy Ritchie, for Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures. Robert Downey Jr. brings the legendary detective to life, and Jude Law stars as Holmes' trusted colleague, Watson, a doctor and war veteran who is a formidable ally for Sherlock Holmes. Rachel McAdams stars as Irene Adler, the only woman ever to have bested Holmes and who has maintained a tempestuous relationship with the detective. Mark Strong stars as their mysterious new adversary, Blackwood. Kelly Reilly plays Watson's love interest, Mary. With a screenplay by Michael Robert Johnson and Anthony Peckham and Simon Kinberg, screen story by Lionel Wigram and Michael Robe

Guy Ritchie to direct ' DC Comics Lobo'

Guy Ritchie to direct ' DC Comics Lobo' Guy Ritchie has signed on to direct his first superhero movie, “ Lobo ,” a big-screen translation of the DC Comics anti-hero. Silver Pictures is co-producing the Warners production with Weed Road. Joel Silver , Akiva Goldsman, and Andrew Rona are producing. Lobo is an blue-skinned cigar-chomping alien who is an interstellar mercenary and bounty hunter. The character is one of DC’s more recent creations (he was introduced in the 1980s by creators Roger Slifer and Keith Giffen) and for a brief run in the 1990s, was one of comicdom’s most popular characters. Lobo was meant to serve as a parody of violent heroes such as Wolverine and the Punisher, with his stories featuring a nihilistic streak tinged with dark comedy and excessive violence. (One story had him killing his daughter and all his illegitimate children that she had amassed to rub him out.) Please Leave A Comment- Source- THR
