Talk about yer bad news, good news situation. First, the bad: Guillermo del Toro and Ron Perlman are really, truly no longer involved in future Hellboy movies, as reported by the director a while ago. But according to the character's creator, Mike Mignola, Hellboy will return, this time with Stranger Things' David Harbour in talks to take the lead role. Mignola goes on in his brief Facebook post to say that Neil Marshall (Dog Soldiers, The Descent, and several great Game Of Thrones episodes) is on board to direct this rebooted incarnation and that the aim will be an R-rated version. The clear talents of Marshall, Harbour (who was considered for Cable in Deadpool 2) and Mignola's blessing represent the good here, though that's unlikely to win over the majority of Hellboy movie fans, who have long been clamouring for a third instalment with del Toro directing and Perlman back in the costume. Bad news if your hopes were recently raised by director Guillermo del Toro drumming up support for a third Hellboy movie. According to a tweet from the man himself , it's really, officially not happening this time. There have been flares of flaming hope in the last few years, hope that was then quashed by the hard realities of filmmaking. Hellboy 3 is not a movie that can necessarily be made by crowdfunding, and rights issues make shopping it around tough. So despite the driving passion of GDT, Ron Perlman and others to finish the trilogy with one more film, the book appears closed on that front. Of course, there remains the chance that del Toro could find some other outlet for the story, especially in comic book form. Which would be fitting given Big Red's roots. And at least we get to enjoy more del Toro filmmaking: his latest, The Shape Of Water, should be with us later this year. Please Leave A Comment- Source- Empire

According to Variety Actress and pop singer Cailee Spaeny has landed the female lead in Legendary’s “ Pacific Rim 2 ” the sequel to the 2013 sci-fi hit. John Boyega will play the male lead in “ Pacific Rim 2 ” and Scott Eastwood also stars. Steven S. DeKnight is directing. Thomas Tull, Mary Parent, Jon Jashni, and Guillermo del Toro will produce the action adventure film along with Boyega and Femi Oguns under their Upper Room Productions shingle. Cale Boyter will serve as the film’s executive producer.
