Disney Parks To Feature Tron: Legacy On The Monorails With the trailer coming out this week and the news we brought to you a week ago about how Disney maybe considering "About the possibility of bringing a Tron Themed ride to Disneyland and also about turning the Starcade into Flynn's Arcade?" Joseph Kosinski just smiled and said "Just wait and see," I really hope they do bring something to Disneyland that has a Tron theme. How cool would that be to walk into Flynn's Arcade and play all those 80's video games with all the great music. No your eyes are not tricking you, those are light cycle on the monorails at Walt Disney World, we have no word if this theme will be making its way to Disneyland we can only hope. Heavily influenced by “Star Wars,” the 1986 short film was produced by George Lucas and directed by Francis Ford Coppola. Back in those days, Michael had the money from “Thriller” to make anything happen. Among the cast: Michael, Anjelica Huston, Dick Shawn -- the latter died less than a year after “Captain EO” was released. Star Tours Getting an Updated Look To Reopen in 2011 This has been a long time coming. As a Child I really enjoyed the ride and to this day every time I go to Disneyland I have to ride Star Tours. After watching The Phantom Menace , I thought to myself that would be Really cool if they updated Star Tours with Pod Racing and Look what Happened. I am heading down to Disneyland in October so I better get one last ride on Star Tours. Johnny Depp is a tough act to follow, so Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Jay Rasulo brought in the heavy artillery today to announce plans to update the Star Tours attraction at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim and Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Fla. Radulo deadpanned that he had some "bad news" for the Disneyphiles attending the D23 Expo -- Star Tours would close in Oct 2010 . The Return Of Captain EO to Disneyland With the passing of Michael Jackson it has brought up hope that Disney might release Captain EO and According to MiceAge , It has been confirmed that Captain EO will return to its original home in Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park in California beginning January,2010 . So far, Disneyland Park in California is the only park that will host the film. Looks like we will hear more new on this during Disney's D23 event this month. I wish my wife April would change her mind and decide to head down to this event. It's going to be an incredible event this year. Captain EO and his rugged crew set out on a mission to deliver a special gift to a wicked queen who lives on a dark, desolate world.
