Disney Parks To Feature Tron: Legacy On The Monorails

Disney Parks To Feature Tron: Legacy On The Monorails With the trailer coming out this week and the news we brought to you a week ago about how Disney maybe considering "About the possibility of bringing a Tron Themed ride to Disneyland and also about turning the Starcade into Flynn's Arcade?" Joseph Kosinski just smiled and said "Just wait and see," I really hope they do bring something to Disneyland that has a Tron theme. How cool would that be to walk into Flynn's Arcade and play all those 80's video games with all the great music. No your eyes are not tricking you, those are light cycle on the monorails at Walt Disney World, we have no word if this theme will be making its way to Disneyland we can only hope. The transformed trains will be visible on the Epcot monorail line as early as this month. And if you look close, you’ll notice that the design of the futuristic motorcycle-like vehicles from the upcoming film “Tron: Legacy” also includes walls o

“Captain EO” To Make Return To Disneyland

“Captain EO” To Make Return To Disneyland I reported on this back in September and it's going to happen the beginning of next year. Click Here to read Story The word from Hollywood is that Disneyland is planning to revive Michael Jackson’s 3D film beginning in January. Heavily influenced by “Star Wars,” the 1986 short film was produced by George Lucas and directed by Francis Ford Coppola. Back in those days, Michael had the money from “Thriller” to make anything happen. Among the cast: Michael, Anjelica Huston, Dick Shawn -- the latter died less than a year after “Captain EO” was released. It’s the 3D version coming back to Disneyland, but you can watch a less complex version on YouTube (see below). “Captain EO” was pulled from Disneyland years ago. But with Jackson’s “This Is It” up to about $220 million worldwide, interest in him is rekindled. It’s another tragic irony for Jackson. And, believe it or not, the “This Is It” companion CD looks like it sold well over 125,000 copies l

Disneyland Give A Day Get A Day

Disneyland Give A Day Get A Day Looks like Disney is done with giving away free items. No more Dream Passes or free hats. Now they want you to give back also. Which I am fine with. I would like to get a night in the dream suite though. Sounds like a great program and something I would be willing to do myself for a free day to Disneyland. Please don't forget to sign up for email updates. BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2010, when you sign up here to volunteer a day of service with a participating organization (and your service is completed and verified) you'll get one day admission to a Walt Disney World® or Disneyland® theme park, FREE! We want to inspire one million people to volunteer a day of service. Click Here To Sign up- Source- Disney

Star Tours Getting an Updated Look

Star Tours Getting an Updated Look To Reopen in 2011 This has been a long time coming. As a Child I really enjoyed the ride and to this day every time I go to Disneyland I have to ride Star Tours. After watching The Phantom Menace , I thought to myself that would be Really cool if they updated Star Tours with Pod Racing and Look what Happened. I am heading down to Disneyland in October so I better get one last ride on Star Tours. Johnny Depp is a tough act to follow, so Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Jay Rasulo brought in the heavy artillery today to announce plans to update the Star Tours attraction at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim and Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Fla. Radulo deadpanned that he had some "bad news" for the Disneyphiles attending the D23 Expo -- Star Tours would close in Oct 2010 . On cue, Stormtroopers marched on stage as the martial sound of John Williams' "Imperial March" played. Darth Vader appeared on the giant screen

The Return Of Captain EO to Disneyland

The Return Of Captain EO to Disneyland With the passing of Michael Jackson it has brought up hope that Disney might release Captain EO and According to MiceAge , It has been confirmed that Captain EO will return to its original home in Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park in California beginning January,2010 . So far, Disneyland Park in California is the only park that will host the film. Looks like we will hear more new on this during Disney's D23 event this month. I wish my wife April would change her mind and decide to head down to this event. It's going to be an incredible event this year. Captain EO and his rugged crew set out on a mission to deliver a special gift to a wicked queen who lives on a dark, desolate world. Getting there is half the fun, especially when the good captain starts boogying and the special effects start flying. To see the D23 line up and events Click Here - Please Leave A Comment-
