BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

#Deadpool Sequel In The Works

According to THR , Fox is betting that audiences will not get a load of Deadpool when the movie opens this weekend but will immediately want more, which is why the studio is already working on a sequel. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who wrote Deadpool, are writing the script for a follow-up, which has already been greenlighted. The fact that a sequel is in the works should not be a surprise at this point. Deadpool is tracking to open to at least $65 million over the upcoming four-day holiday weekend, with some estimates pointing north of $70 million. Tim Miller directed Deadpool and although is he has not signed on to helm the sequel, Fox is intent on keeping the creative team together. Reese, Wernick and Miller, as well as star Ryan Reynolds, have fought an uphill battle within the studio system to get the movie made, forging themselves into a compact unit. Wernick and Reese, who also acted as executive producers on the movie, remained on board throughout the development an

SandwichJohn's 22 Most Anticipated Films Of 2016

Here is my personal most anticipated list for 2016. I am sure I have missed a few films that will end up on our radar later this year. Hail, Caesar! (February 5) The latest film from the Coen brothers features Josh Brolin as a Hollywood studio “fixer” in the 1950s, charged with tracking down a buffoonish star (George Clooney) who’s been kidnapped while filming a sword-and-sandal epic. Deadpool (February 12) The Marvel superhero Deadpool gets his own stand alone film. Ryan Reynolds plays the mercenary with a mouth who has little regard for human life, including his own. The film is scripted by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (Zombieland). Tim Miller is set to make his directorial debut Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (March 25) DC’s efforts to match Marvel’s cinematic universe kick off here, with this superhero showdown between Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill), plus appearances from other DC icons including Wonder Woman, Lex Luthor, Aquaman and more. Eve

Sweet Ass Poster For #Deadpool

The promo campaign for 20th Century Fox’s newest "hero" – if that word really applies to the guy – has gone all in on the rude humour employed by the comic book version, and brought to the screen by Ryan Reynolds. It’s on, er, full display in the new poster for Deadpool . In case you might have forgotten, Deadpool follows Wade Wilson, a smart-mouthed mercenary who learns he has cancer. Undergoing an experimental procedure, he’s left horrifically scarred, incredibly angry and ready to unleash a little creative vengeance on the people responsible and any bad guys that cross his path. And yes, he still has his smart mouth. With VFX man Tim Miller making his directorial debut after convincing Fox and the wider world to take a gamble on the film with a short chunk of test footage, the full-length serving of Deadpool’s dangerous wise-cracking is headed our way on February 4. Morena Baccarin, Gina Carano, T.J. Miller, Brianna Hildebrand and Ed Skrein fill out the main cast.

All Superhero Movies to 2020 (UPDATED...AGAIN)

Guess what happens when we say, "We have the final, final, final version of the list." Story by Matt Cummings Marvel shocked the world (again) this week with the announcement that Ant-Man was getting a sequel, and that the studio had added three more films to its release schedule. We knew our original story back in April couldn't hold, but that's our dumb luck assuming we know the inner mind of the Marvel machine. The The Kree Supreme Intelligence has got nothing on Marvel Studios! Anyways, we've had some time to digest everything and thought it was time to re-re-re-update the master list of DC/Marvel films through 2020. The changes ain't pretty, and there's some interesting suggestions embedded within. Read our thoughts after checking out the list: 2016 February 12: Deadpool (Fox) March 25: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice May 6: Captain America: Civil War May 27: X-Men: Apocalypse (Fox) August 5: Suicide Squad October 7: G

All Superhero Movies to 2020

We have the final, final, final version of the list. Story by Matt Cummings With the sudden announcement of the Sony/Marvel Spider-man deal back in February , the entire Marvel calendar was upended, pushing titles back and others out of the way. We wrote about this back when the news broke , but it's clear that the situation hadn't exactly settled. The addition of 2016's Gambit hadn't yet been figured out, which caused yet another wave of bloggers to hit the UPDATE button on their old stories. But it doesn't end there. Other news - such as the lackluster performance of The Amazing Spider-man 2 which forced Sony to seek out a co-partner in Marvel in the first place - also changed Sony's plans regarding Drew Goddard's Sinister Six , effectively ending its development for the time being. Not one to be left out, the all-new DCCU (DC Cinematic Universe) is also vying for our hearts (and wallets), and with news on that front happening nearly ev

Hugh Jackman Says "Wolverine 3" is His Last

You get only two more times to see the iconic actor in the role...maybe. Story by Matt Cummings The X-men film series has seemingly gone through its own version of the classic Phoenix storyline: critics have largely panned its poor plots, with some of the early films failing to hold up under today's Avengers standards. One thing that cannot be denied is its extremely strong casting: Ian McKellan as Magneto and Patrick Stewart as Professor Xavier have been excellent, some say iconic. But standing atop that list is Hugh Jackman, whose portrayal of the mutant Wolverine has made him a household name. Unfortunately, you're only going to get two more chances to see him suit up the Adamantium claws, if recent posts by the actor are to be believed. On Saturday, the 46 year old sent out this message via Instagram: WOLVERINE ...ONE LAST TIME.
