BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

@FunkoDCLegion Review: May 2016

The first volley fired by DC looks strangely familiar. Review by Matt Cummings On our last installment, we introduced you to DC's Legion of Collectors box, an eerily similar Funko every-other-monthly that made a very good first impression. And although the stink of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is still in our noses, we're ready to move on to the (much better) television side, as Arrow and his posse arrive. The Promise Before we begin, let's look at the deal again: promising a value of $50, the sub continues the tradition of Funko partnering each time to deliver an exclusive figure and t-shirt without the fluff or filter (their words). Joining at the VIGILANTE MEMBERSHIP, members receive 6 boxes every year, with the promise of an exclusive themed collectible gift on the one-year anniversary of your annual membership pf $150 p sh/h. You can also subscribe at the SIDEKICK LEVEL at $25 with $6.95 shipping. That's literally the same deal as Marvel

#InsidetheBucket Podcast #89

This week's episode of Inside the Bucket is online! Revel in the digital mastery! On this better-late-than-never edition of Inside the Bucket, Matt and Rama from RamaScreen.com gather late in the week to give you all this week's movie and television news and reviews from our website SANDWICHJOHNFILMS.COM . Already dripping with SJF ballsy grease, the boys endeavor to discuss several items of supposed importance. This week, they turn their attention to news from DC, Star Wars , and of course Marvel, as they discuss JK Simmons becoming Commissioner Gordon and Chewbacca joining Han Solo in his upcoming origin story. The two give their reaction to the newest Civil War trailer, discussing the possible future of several characters along the way. Then it's on to this week's box office report, as Zootopia enjoys a second week at #1, while 10 Cloverfield Lane turns in very nice numbers. The boys also discuss movies and television shows hitting Blu-ray this week.

@FunkoDCLegion Review: March 2016

The first volley fired by DC looks strangely familiar. Review by Matt Cummings With Loot Crate now a distant memory and March's Geek Fuel riding on whether we ditch it as well, a new player has risen to challenge the seemingly indestructible Marvel Collector Corps. On Monday, we received our first DC Legion of Collectors box, ready to tear into its geeky DC Comics goodness. And while it looks strangely familiar to other Funko boxes, it's also a very good opening salvo. The Promise Before we begin, let's look at the deal again: promising a value of $50, the sub continues the tradition of Funko partnering each time to deliver an exclusive figure and t-shirt without the fluff or filter (their words). Joining at the VIGILANTE MEMBERSHIP, members receive 6 boxes every year, with the promise of an exclusice themed collectible gift on the one-year anniversary of your annual membership pf $150 p sh/h. You can also subscribe at the SIDEKICK LEVEL at $25 with $6.9

All Superhero Movies to 2020 (UPDATED...AGAIN)

Guess what happens when we say, "We have the final, final, final version of the list." Story by Matt Cummings Marvel shocked the world (again) this week with the announcement that Ant-Man was getting a sequel, and that the studio had added three more films to its release schedule. We knew our original story back in April couldn't hold, but that's our dumb luck assuming we know the inner mind of the Marvel machine. The The Kree Supreme Intelligence has got nothing on Marvel Studios! Anyways, we've had some time to digest everything and thought it was time to re-re-re-update the master list of DC/Marvel films through 2020. The changes ain't pretty, and there's some interesting suggestions embedded within. Read our thoughts after checking out the list: 2016 February 12: Deadpool (Fox) March 25: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice May 6: Captain America: Civil War May 27: X-Men: Apocalypse (Fox) August 5: Suicide Squad October 7: G

Inside the Bucket Podcast #72

This week's episode of Inside the Bucket is online! Revel in the digital mastery! In a highly-contentious superhero throwdown, Inside the Bucket brings together Matt, Brandon, and SandwichJohn as they break down the best movie and television news from our website SANDWICHJOHNFILMS.COM with all the style of a bull and full of greasy attitude. The show kicks off with our news segment, as the trio discuss several stories from the past week, including news on Josh Trank’s comments on Fantastic Four , Sony Pictures reveals film slate through 2017, Universal Pictures box office record, and the Red/Green Band Trailers for Deadpool . They discuss a very surprising weekend box office, as well as discuss three Blu-rays releasing this week. And then things turn ugly. The boys break down their Rants and Raves as they bitch and complain about all the things they're watching, following, and are generally pissed off about from the past week. Matt also gives short reviews

Inside the Bucket Podcast #71

This week's episode of Inside the Bucket is online! Revel in the digital mastery! If last week's Inside the Bucket was of epic proportions (and length), this week will feel like a gentle breeze on your neck, until you realize that hosts Matt and Brandon are actually two very heavy dudes with bad breath! If you can get past their odoriferous issues, you'll actually enjoy a much shorter show, as they deliver the best movie and television news from our website SANDWICHJOHNFILMS.COM with all the style of a bull and full of greasy attitude. But there's no news this week, so the two skip right Blu-ray releases, as well as the final box office report for the weekend, as well as discuss three Blu-rays releasing this week. Afterwards, Matt takes us through a review of Shaun the Sheep , before welcoming Brandon back for a full-blown review of Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation . NOTE: The boys also engage in a ton of spoilers, so if you haven't seen it, fas

#InsidetheBucket Podcast #68

This week's episode of Inside the Bucket is online! Revel in the digital mastery! On this DOUCHECON edition of Inside the Bucket , Matt sits down with SandwichJohn himself for an early weekend edition. As always, the two imbibe and consider John's effect on the smell of his microphone while delivering the best movie and television news from our website SANDWICHJOHNFILMS.COM with all the style of a bull and full of greasy attitude. The show kicks off with our news segment, as Matt and John pontificate on two breaking news stories (the death of Omar Sharif and Director Colin Trevorrow being pursued for Star Wars: Episode VII ) before moving into other news that happened during the week, including Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice 's Ben Affleck writing/directing/starring in a standalone Batman film, Darth Vader appearing in Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One , and Marisa Tomei signing on to play Aunt May Parker in the Sony/Marvel Spider-man . They also discuss the

Why Marvel Might Not Need SDCC Anymore

How will today's confirmation affect the largest geek fest in the world? Story by Matt Cummings Even though the insanity that is San Diego Comic-Con makes enjoying the July event a real hassle, it's still clear that studios love the venue for its ability to release big stories to thousands of adoring fans. Together with social media, it's become the most effective (and cheapest) way to get your new television show or movie casting out there. But in recent years - particularly in 2014 - some studios began to re-think their strategies of waiting until the annual madness to build anticipation. Take Marvel Studios for example, the consistent darling of past conventions and the group particularly responsible for the way the current convention is covered and orchestrated. With their near lack of news last year for either 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy , 2016's Doctor Strange , or even this year's Ant-Man , it was clear that something was either amiss o

Wonder Woman Finds A New Director

DC spends little time in finding Michelle MacLaren's replacement. Story by Matt Cummings With news that Director Michelle MacLaren had left the long-awaited Wonder Woman film last week, it seemed like fans might have been denied one of The Justice League's top cops. Not so much. On Wednesday, Warner Bros ( via THR ) announced that director Patty Jenkins has agreed to step in. Does the name sound familiar? It might, if you had been following the development of Thor: The Dark World. Jenkins departed that production (due to creative differences), allowing Game of Thrones helmer Alan Taylor to step in. This signing hopefully ends the small circus that had developed around the Amazonian Princess’ first solo movie. Names like Angelina Jolie were circulated, but it was the Monster director Jenkins who finally won out. She's primarily known for her director that nabbed Actress Charlize Theron a Best Actress Oscar in 2011, but Jenkins has directed episodes o
