Spielberg and Trevorrow Looking Ahead To Next Project

Collaboration Continues With “Intelligent Life” Story by David Clark Steven Spielberg and Colin Trevorrow , the brains behind Jurassic World, are teaming up again on a new project titled Intelligent Life. At this time details are still limited but it would appear that Spielberg and Trevorrow have developed a solid working relationship and want to carry that into a new intellectual property. What is known about the movie thus far falls within the science-fiction genre and is loosely based upon an incomplete Trevorrow project titled The Ambassador. How true the new movie will be to this earlier project is still unclear. The Ambassador was never made but the plot involved an alien first-contact specialist who falls in love with a unique woman who is not of this world. Originally planned as a sequel to his successful indie movie Safety Not Guaranteed , Intelligent Life will likely be quite a departure from Jurassic World for Spielberg and Trevorrow. Other indivi

Chris Pratt Hanging With A Raptor In This New Jurassic World Image

But if you’re in the midst of making a film, you can call on some fun imagery. That’s just what Jurassic World ’s Colin Trevorrow has done for a new tweet . Yes, that’s Chris Pratt seemingly hanging with a raptor (whose name is not given, but we’d like to think is called Fiona) and if you've seen the first trailer for the film, you’ll know that in addition to Pratt’s Owen somehow being able to make a leather waistcoat work, he’s also a dino behavioral specialist who studies and works with raptors. “Don’t try this at home,” warns Trevorrow’s tweet. It's sound advice, since, like those who work with big cats or other predators, Owen knows that raptors are not your friends, no matter how closely you work with them. And Jurassic World will naturally provide another cautionary tale for those who think that to make money they can tamper with nature, as its set in a functioning Jurassic Park that looks to drum up business with a brand new dinosaur. Which, of course, means tha

The Park Is Open. #JurassicWorld Official Poster

So far, Universal has largely left it to director Colin Trevorrow to keep the hype machine churning for Jurassic World by premiering teaser imagery on his Twitter feed. He’s back with a new official poster, one designed to fire straight at the nostalgia centre of your brain with a simple display of the logo. The tagline, “ The Park is open ” ties in nicely with the plot of this new film. Set years after Steven Spielberg’s original, the attraction is now up and running. While it has been hugely successful, the place and its dino inhabitants have actually become a little less than thrilling for today’s blasé audiences. Naturally, the island's bosses decide to come up with something exciting and new. Which goes badly for everyone, with the running and screaming... Expect a lot of new dino-action this time around, a healthy set of nods to the past and plenty of practical effects work in among the flashier digital tricks. With Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, Nick

First Look At #JurassicWorld

Jurassic World is finally just one year away. And to go along with that information, we now have some new images from the film, as provided to the AV Club . See all the images after the Jump.. With Safety Not Guaranteed director Colin Trevorrow marshalling both the humans and the dinosaurs, we know that Jurassic World is set years after Steven Spielberg’s original film, at a time when Jurassic Park is actually a functioning attraction situated on Isla Nublar. In fact, so well does it do its job that dinosaurs are almost commonplace. Chris Pratt plays a scientist doing behavioural research on the raptors (“let’s see what happens when we take away the puppy…”) when everything, in true Jurassic fashion, goes nuts again. Bryce Dallas Howard , meanwhile, will be more of a corporate type involved in the park, one that might just have to team up with Pratt when toothed menaces start stalking the place. Also featured? Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson , who also factor into
