BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Liam Neeson Will Return For Taken 2

Liam Neeson and Luc Besson have come to a meeting of the minds and they have worked out the scheduling snafu that made him iffy for Taken 2 . They are now closing the deal for Neeson to reprise what has become a signature role. Production is now being eyed for year end or beginning of 2012. Neeson will stick to his plan to take the rest of the year off, after completing the Clash of the Titans sequel he's shooting in London. He has been working almost nonstop, wrapping The Grey for Joe Carnahan and Battleship for Peter Berg. A fascinating drama has been playing out over the past few weeks on Taken 2, the sequel to the surprise global hit film hatched by Luc Besson that reinvigorated Liam Neeson. I'm told Besson has teamed on a script with Robert Mark Kamen, and that he's in talks with his Transporter 3 director Olivier Megaton to direct the sequel. But he has been dealing with a huge problem: Neeson has all but withdrawn from reprising his role as Bryan Mills, the re

Taylor Kitsch To Set Sail In A Battleship

Taylor Kitsch To Set Sail In A Battleship Taylor Kitsch, will play the lead in the upcoming adaptation of the Hasbro board game "Battleship."  Kitsch would be playing a Naval commander named Alex Hopper, described as "wildly spirited" and "a great seaman but a lousy politician." Pete Berg is directing the action adventure movie, whose story has drawn heat from some quarters for adding an "alien invasion" element to what has been traditionally seen as a grounded Naval game. A little about  Kitsch he was a key actor in TV's "Friday Night Lights" to playing superhero Gambit in "Wolverine." Please Leave A Comment- Source- THR

Peter Berg Talks Battleship Movie

Peter Berg Talks Battleship Movie Berg recently invited a group of movie bloggers to a Naval ship in San Diego, the U.S.S. Sterett to give them a tour and talk about what exactly he has planned for the film. If you have never been on one of these ships you should definitely go when you have the chance! You might as well hit one up in San Diego when you are there for Comic-Con if you haven’t already, these ships are freakin incredible! Peter talks a bit about using the bridge, and other parts of the ship, as sets for the movie. He also talked about what would happen if all of this technology suddenly became unavailable to the officers during battle with the aliens. Or with the Chinese. Whichever happens first. Berg: Most of the things we're going to show you today, are sets we're going to build, or in theory, work out with the Navy so we can use them and make them as realistic as possible. One of the things the film inspires is it takes us into this incredibly complicated world

BattleShip Movie Is Set For Sail in 2011

BattleShip Movie Is Set For Sail in 2011 Universal has set July 1, 2011, for the release of "Battleship," confirming Peter Berg as helmer of the live-action pic based on Hasbro's naval combat board game. Deal is part of a two-picture pic pact Berg has made with U, where he'll follow "Battleship" with an Afghan war drama "Lone Survivor." Universal's date declaration positions " Battleship " to become the second film release from the studio's multiyear deal with Hasbro to turn its classic games into features. "Battleship" is the latest in Universal 's strong push toward branded entertainment films, and Hasbro has fast become an increasingly important cog in that campaign. Scott Stuber and his U-based Stuber Pictures will produce "Battleship" alongside Hasbro's Brian Goldner and Bennett Schneir, Berg and his Film 44 partner Sarah Aubrey. Script was written by Jon Hoeber and Erich Hoeber ("Whiteout&quo
