BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

TV Review: Arrow “Blast Radius”. It Was A Bit Of A Let Down

Arrow: Episode 210 “Blast Radius”
Mid-Season Premier
Review by Nicolas Souza

Something new we are going to be adding to the site are television reviews.  You will start seeing Nic Souza reviewing Arrow, Games Of Throne and a few other shows.  Enough with the talking let's see what he thought of last nights Arrow episode.

(Contains Spoilers from Mid-season finale)

Queue up the shirtless workout montage, Arrow is back from its holiday hiatus.

When we last visited Starling City we had some pretty profound things happen. First, Malcolm Merlin is not dead, having revealed himself to Moira Queen. Secondly, Roy Harper has been injected with a type of serum. This came at the hands of the Blood Brothers, who received the serum from Slade. Over on “flash back island,” Slade was injected with the same serum.

The most exciting story arc is surrounding Barry Allen. Barry witnessed the explosion of the particle accelerator, and was then struck by lightening. Sounds like a rough night. This comes as some heavy fan service, as DC followers know Barry Allen as one of the many Flash characters.

With all that has happened, the mid-season premier was built up to be fairly explosive. Would Malcolm reveal himself as the Oliver? What is happening to Roy? What role will Slade play in the modern day story? How close will Oliver get to tracking down the leader of the Blood Brothers? Did Barry survive the lightening strike?

Most of these questions were answered in this week’s episode. Though the episode itself was fairly bland and unexciting. Rather than getting more details about Slade or Malcolm, we get an uninteresting new villain, Shrapnel. We see Roy starting to change after what happened to him at the hands of the Blood Brothers, and that has really good potential looking ahead in the series. Barry is now in a coma in Central City, with his recovery still uncertain.

Next week’s episode, “Blind Spot,” has the potential to be better than this week’s, and that won’t be very hard. “Blast Radius” was a bit of a let down after the excitement of the mid-season finale. With a cookie-cutter and boring villain, very little development in some of the more exciting plot lines, and fairly flat action, compared to the action of the previous episodes, “Blast Radius” is nothing really to be excited about.

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim
