Zelda Fitzgerald , novelist, socialite and wife of F. Scott Fitzgerald, has been brought to the screen numerous times in fictional portrayals. Now there is a plan to tell her story in a more direct biopic and Jennifer Lawrence is attached to portray her in a film that Ron Howard may direct. The film, currently known simply as Zelda , is being developed by former Lionsgate executive-turned-producer Allison Shearmur (who helped push Lawrence's career into the stratosphere with the Hunger Games movies) alongside Brian Oliver and Justine Ciarrocchi. The White Queen's Emma Frost has written the script, drawing inspiration from Nancy Milford's biography, also called Zelda. Howard hasn't definitely agreed to direct, but he's involved with the development and certainly seems to be interested. In a surprising development, director Tim Miller has departed Deadpool 2 due, according to Deadline, to creative differences with star Ryan Reynolds . The duo, of course, crafted the original Deadpool, which became a blockbuster beyond anyone's expectations. Of Miller, the site comments, "He hadn't formally signed a deal to continue, but he was developing the script and by all accounts had planned to return behind the camera." The departure was reportedly an amicable one, and Fox is intending on having Miller direct an adaptation of author David Suarez' Influx. With Halloween just a week away, it's normal for scary movies to start grabbing attention at the US box office. But there was an unexpected champ this weekend as Tyler Perry's latest, Boo! A Madea Halloween took on Tom Cruise with Jack Reacher: Never Go Back and won soundly, earning $27.6 million according to studio estimates. The Madea character – played by Perry himself and adapted from the theatrical version into a series of successful movies. But he's built quite the following for the larger-than-life, religious character and there's no arguing with her popularity this time. The latest Jack Reacher entry, meanwhile, earned $23 million, which is stronger than the first movie. Cruise's original outing as the tough nut character opened to $15.2 million in the US, so Paramount and its partners will be hoping for a solid return on the investment. OUIJA: ORIGIN OF EVIL  is super creepy. And it has good amount of well-placed jump-scares to rattle even the toughest audiences. As a horror fan, I definitely enjoy this installment way better than its predecessor. RAMA delivers another review.
